UHD MOVIES I OWN PLAYING IN HDX/CAN'T UPGRADE MOVIES TO UHD

Yesterday, January 14 VUDU added numerous movies to the UHD folder. I have a list of movies that I OWN IN UHD. Movies Anywhere movies I purchased from Fandango. None of them are playing in UHD. All play in HDX. The movie description states "you purchased in UHD" but they are not playing in UHD. This is happening on both of my ROKU UTLRA's 2020 (all settings on ULTRAS are correct) and both SAMSUNG TVS with the following movies ...

    LOVE ACTUALLY
    THE WOLFMAN 2010 THEATRICAL
    PRIDE & PREJUDICE (KIERA KNIGHTLY)
    PUBLIC ENEMIES 2009 JOHNNY DEPP
    NON-STOP LIAM NEESON
ROBIN HOOD (UNRATED VERSION 2010; RUSSELL CROWE)

The movies listed below I own in HDX but I'm unable to buy the UHD versions. From Roku Ultras (2020) and my Samsung TVS VUDU only gives the option to "RENT" these movies in UHD.

    KING KONG 2005 (EXTENDED EDITION)
    IT'S COMPLICATED 2009
HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS 2000 JIM CARREY
MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING 2
    THE VISIT

All the movies listed above has been removed by Vudu from the UHD folder as of today 1-16. Only one remains. Robin Hood 2010 Unrated version. The movie still says I own it in UHD but plays in HDX only.

I'm wondering if this is all still pending Vudu getting the UHD encodes. It's possible Vudu changed all the descriptions to "You purchased in UHD" before actually providing the UHD encode. It would be nice if Vudu would respond to this and let us know.

They did this before too with SD to HD when UV went away. Boys on the Side still says I own HDX, but it's only offered/streamed in SD.

They added UHD for rental, so hopefully soon. I just wish they would get the SD to HDX fixed with correct transfers now.

All the movies I listed above have been removed from the UHD folder except for Robin Hood (UNRATED VERSION 2010). The movie still lists I own in UHD but plays in HDX.

None of those movies are available on Vudu in UHD. Robin Hood Unrated is, the other definitely not. Its strange that Fandango UHD movies are not UHD at Vudu yet...but there are also movies, The Graduate for example, that are available to purchase at Fandango but not even available to purchase at Vudu. The hope of course is that the libraries will merge sooner than later

All of those movies were in the UHD folder from 1-14 through 1-15 stating they were available in UHD. Overnight into today 1-16, VUDU removed the movies from the UHD folder except for Robin Hood Unrated 2010 like I said in my previous message at 2:04 pm today.

Since they are migrating files from Fandangonow to Vudu I'd say that's a good sign that the Vudu platform will prevail in the merger. I hope.

Understood, the point I was trying to make is that it looks like they are starting to merge Fandango a nd Vudu so it might be wonky for a bit. For example, Trolls was available to rent in UHD on 1-14 and 1-15. It is not available today. I would say its a good sign that these titles will be UHD soon

That sounds awesome! I so hope you're right. Robin Hood 2010 Unrated version is still in the UHD folder for sale. I already own the movie in UHD but it won't play in UHD, only HDX. It's really weird because it says 'purchased in UHD". I hope whatever the issue is, when they resolve it, I'll be able to view the movie from Vudu in UHD. However I can watch the movie in UHD on Fandango, Apple TV, Amazon. Thanks so much for your input.
