Reduced Cost for Upgrades - Notifications for Wishlist Items on Sale

I just had a couple suggestions I wish Vudu would implement:

    a) If someone has purchased the HDX version of a movie in the past, and then wants to upgrade to UHD in the future, the UHD purchase should be offered at a reduced price. It doesn't seem right asking for the full price of the UHD at that point. (I'm quite sure I've seen this being requested by other people before.)

    b) I'm constantly getting general emails about what movies are on sale at Vudu. What would be even more helpful if I got notification specifically if movies that I have saved to my Wishlist happen to be on sale. This is something STEAM (gaming) does, and I really find it convenient.

    That's all for now.

Agreed, both of these items would enhance the user experience and keep Vudu competitive among other services.

Controlled by the studios you'd be better off contacting studio support individually or starting a petition perhaps.

I used to get emails when something in my watchlist was on sale. It's only happened a handful of times, and it's been a while. Would be nice since I have 500+ items in my wish list. But then things are often cheaper at FN or elsewhere, assuming if it's a MA titles though.

Reduced price upgrades has been talked about at nauseum for many, many year. It has and does exist in limited scenarios but for the most part with Vudu, FN, etc no it doesn't and likely never will.

The first option would be solved if Vudu followed Apple and Googles suit and gave us free upgrades to 4K. I rarely buy movies that are MA on Vudu anymore because of this.

Some Warner Brothers movies upgrade for free. But yes if Vudu has an executive crusader that convince more studios to join! Great. The issue with the free upgrades on vudu is that you lose the ability to purchase the uhd quality level so you can't purchase an upgrade and you can't get the 4k license to port out to movies anywhere.
