    Ten Commandments Code Giving Error

My friend tried to redeem his copy of the Ten Commandments (1956) 4K code today on Vudu and got an error message that said, "Failed to redeem promo, please try again later." He tried it again later in the day and it still wasn't working, even though it verified fine on the Paramount Digital Copy website. He gave me the code to try on my account and it redeemed fine. From what I've seen online, other people have reported the same error but the code has worked fine for others as well. Is this something that can be looked into?

Please. Having the same issue here.

Not everyone is having this issue. My code, purchased from Walmart (but no Instawatch), redeemed in 4K; I already had it in HDX.

My friend was able to redeem, but I was not. What's the deal? Why are some redeeming and not others?

I was able to redeem mine through the paramount site https://www.paramountdigitalcopy.com

Did you buy them from different stores or websites? I had no problem with mine purchased from a nearby Walmart store; even those shipped from Walmart.com (much less Amazon, etc.) may be different.

Also, is the slip code at lower right 2136009 on both? Mine has that, as does 4ksheet.com.

I mean - the code won't redeem. It's not complicated - what's with the 'did you buy from different stores?' or 'not everyone is having this issue.' My code is not redeeming, period - that's not how it's advertised and a problem. Good for you that your code worked, I guess - but the rest of us would like to enjoy the content too.

Look dude, this is a widespread issue that is affecting a lot of people, myself included. We’re trying to get the issue resolved. It’s great that you didn’t have to deal with this problem but many of us are stuck in a pickle at the moment.

I was trying to help; I was suggesting possible reasons why some codes work while others don't. Please don't attack me for trying to help.

Yes, please fix this! I have been looking forward to this one in HDR since it was announced back in December.

Like many others, I have tried to redeem my 4K UHD digital code for The Ten Commandments and I am receiving the "Failed to redeem promo, please try again later" error. I have tried through the paramount site and through vudu. I have tried different web browsers. Nothing is working. I hope that this can be fixed in some capacity.

Let me be clearer why I asked what I did: I was trying to figure out why there appears to be TWO batches of numbers for this title -- one working in Vudu (like mine), the other not (like most of the others here). I can only think of two possibilities: (a) The "bad" numbers weren't loaded to Vudu at all (either Paramount didn't send them or Vudu didn't load them), or (b) the fact that I had The Ten Commandments in HDX before got around whatever glitch is blocking Vudu from validating the others' numbers with Paramount.

You are way off track. According to the original post the problem is NOT that there are two batches of numbers for this title - that is NOT the issue. The problem is the there is one batch and the same number will not redeem for one person (original poster) but will somehow redeem for another (original poster's friend). You are wildly speculating independent of the facts here; read the problem. It does not appear that ownership of a title in HDX is ever a factor in redeeming a UHD code; and that is irrelevent to the presentation of this issue - you are jumping to conclusions with no evidence or even understanding the problem.

Reading this, it seems you're speculating even more than I am. I don't see how there can possibly be just ONE batch of numbers with some redeeming & not others, unless there's a glitch that some independent factor bypasses (like my previous HDX redemption).
