FANDANGONOW to VUDU - NEW ACCOUNTS AND MERGING EXISTING (Some Questions)

    https://www.fandangonow.com/vudu

Well - word is out now and official that FN is shuttering and moving FN accounts to VUDU (either as new VUDU accounts or merging into existing VUDU accounts)

    INSTAWATCH - IS IT BACK?
According to that link at the top of this post - you can expand your digital library with Walmart InstaWatch?

    FANDANGO RESOLUTION CONTROLS?
According to Answer ID 1500 on the FN FAQ: "Your FandangoNow library will come to Vudu in the quality you purchased it on FandangoNow." What if we have HD at FN but we have UHD at VUDU? Will it downgrade our VUDU UHD? [it mentions only one exception- being some free Warner UHD upgrades]

WHAT IF FN MOVIES AREN'T AVAILABLE ON VUDU (OR ARE IN HIGHER RESOLUTION)?
FN has an entire catalog of movies that VUDU does not. FN also has many movie titles in higher quality than VUDU - many more UHD titles. Will these all transfer to VUDU ... in the higher FN resolution? Will these FN movies become available for purchase at VUDU once the companies merge?

I’d like to know exactly what happens to my titles that are 4K on FN but the titles are on VUDU at all? Also do our emails have to match for the merge.

As a test I have purchased "The Illusionist" over at FandagoNOW to see if it transfers over successfully to Vudu, which has it available to watch for free but not to purchase.

I’ve purchased only one thing at FN that’s not MA, and it was the pink panther 6- movie bundle. One of the movies is not available on vudu. It will be great if everything is transferred without problems. Hopefully this means movies only available for purchase on FN will be available for purchase on vudu or movies available on FN in higher resolution will have resolution upgraded on vudu. I know I did not make some buys on FN because vudu has the movies only in SD.

I can not seem to find that FAQ about resolution you posted. "Does Vudu offer the same quality resolutions as FandangoNOW?"

I read everything on the link you posted. As well as everything in the FN Help section (there are even more FAQ there than the original link). Yet couldn't find that question or it's associated answer.

I have some titles in higher resolution at VUDU than FandangoNOW and vice versa. While I hope for the best that the highest resolution will persist once the accounts merge, I do have concerns.

I’ve been seeing a LOT of Vudu commercials lately on various streaming services. They felt different too. So I figured Fandango was doing some stuff

I hope the Fandango VIP program stays in place and transfers over from FandangoNOW. With my AMC A List membership I get 3 movies every week for $25 a mom that but if I buy the tickets through Fandango I get $5 to spend on FandangoNOW for every for movies. There’s always an ever changing list of $5 titles each week.

I have movies that were upgraded 4K in VUDU that are still HD in Fandango, these were from UV that merged into FN. I don't want to lose the 4K stuff I have in Vudu, but also I don't want to lose the 4K stuff I have in Fandango.

I'm hoping that the Fandango VIP program makes it's way to Vudu in the transition. Currently for every 4 movies I watch in theaters I get $5 to spend on FandangoNOW. With my $25 AMC A List pass letting me see 3 movies each week that adds up real quick.

I've also got a few hundred in FandangoNOW gift card's needing spending. But with the pandemic quality title releases have been so minimal. Hope I don't loose those.

Well I'm hoping that FN merges smoothly into Vudu and I don't lose out on many of the 4K upgrades (Paramount, Liongate ect.) I've purchased over past few years on Vudu.

I don't see why we should have to worry about our UHD being downgraded to HD if the HD is over at FNow, bought first, then bought UHD on Vudu, but we must be worried. If that screws up, they need to have a planned fix just in case.

I just want to make sure the titles Vudu has never offered, but FNow does, will port over - even if it's a default page with the title not for sale. I just want to watch my FNow titles in Vudu - all of them. I just went and purchased a handful of titles, in hopes this all plays out correctly.

I suppose that we’ll still be limited to 8 logins too , and this time only with the one app?

They changed that a while back, you now can have up to 20 devices on your account.

One feature FandangoNow has that I hope Vudu integrates is the ability to download special features for offline play. The former is currently the only app that includes that.

Hopefully they keep both up for a few weeks after the merge so you can compare. But I doubt it.
