VLSP - $5.00 Vudu Credit - Expired Too Soon (on 9/11 instead of 11/12)

The $5.00 VLSP credits ("Lionsgate - Summer 2016") went invalid at VUDU as of 8 PM EST on 9/11/2016

The credit slips clearly state "redeem by 11/12/2016" - they went invalid 2 months early!

Please reinstate so we can redeem these credits.

I just tried to enter this prefix and discovered this.

What is with VUDU expiring codes without warning before the printed date on the code sheet?

Because if no one complains, no one will care, and that person with the expired credit will just use money their own money to buy what they want. This has happened before, and it really needs to be address. If it had happened to me, I'd be so ****ed and on the phone with support until my credits we applied.

Yeah - and doing a support ticket - takes DAYS AND DAYS with no response. I'm 4 days out on a response, I mean - they should be good, it's printed on them, but for some reason, they don't add them to my account (they asked for an image and they got it)

Did you try calling? I've had a few issues and calling worked much faster then waiting weeks for a reply to my ticket.

Their standard pattern is wait 3-4 days to respond to initial request. At this point they will ask you for a photo of the codes which you included in your initial response. At this point you wait some more.

YEP - I submitted a picture of the codes WITH my initial request - took 2 days to get a response saying it was escalating. And now 5 more days have passed. C'mon.

I'll try calling. I've been waiting for a MONTH+ for a simple refund of one title.

Finally heard back from VUDU after 2 weeks. They refuse to make the codes good without sales receipts and photos of the movies. I routinely buy the movies for the VUDU credits and then flip them either on Craig's List or eBay.
There was no reason to keep any receipts.

Offering VUDU credits as an enticement to purchase movies at Walmart and then expiring them 2 months early is simply sleazy business practices. But hey, it's VUDU and Walmart so one can't really be surprised.

This is sad indeed. I know this happened to many, and not just this code, but others as well. I heard some were able to get credit. Have you tried calling in and explaining? They seem better at helping customers when you call in instead of emails. Putting a voice with the message sometimes helps. Good luck!

I called in. They just play dumb and act like they aren't aware the codes were shut down prior to their stated expiration date. They said to send photos of the codes showing the dates. Once I did that then they wanted pictures of the cases, receipts etc.

They have zero intentions of making good. Walmart moves a bunch of DVD's and Blu-rays by offering $5 VUDU credit then screws the consumer by voiding the codes after the purchase.

Oh wow. This is ridiculous, and if they keep these practices up they will eventually turn a lot of buyers away from their bargain bins. I always look in them for titles that have codes, credits or InstaWatch, but this is something all need to take attention to and remember to snap pics before selling off your loot, which I think is crazy we even have to do that!
