    Continue Watching Option Gone

I've noticed that the option to resume a movie is no longer available. If you don't watch a movie all the way thru, you cannot pick up where you left off anymore. You literally have to start it over from the beginning now.

Any explanation as to why VUDU eliminated the option to Resume/Continue Watching?!

And is there any chance of bringing it back or are they going to be just like Apple? Apple is the same way, no resume options, you have to start it over. --That's why I rarely use Apple, literally, that's why.

It's still working for me. I mostly use Roku for Vudu so it may depend on the device you're using?

It's not on right when you open the app. You have to select My Vudu on the left and it shows your continue watching.

Clicked on the my vudu option on the left like always....

        Top is..
My Movies My TV Shows My Lists

        Below that there is...

        Recent Purchases
        Wishlist
Manage All My Lists My Movies
        My TV Shows

I was about 32 minutes into a movie I purchased. Took a phone call. Hit pause. About 10 mins later... Went back to watch it. Gone. Nowhere to be found. This has happened several times over the last week or so. No option to 'Resume' the movie. Could not find the 'currently watching' list anywhere. Went into the 'My Movies' list, thinking Vudu has just switched things around again somehow & then clicked on the movie I was watching. Again, no 'resume' option. No 'continue watching'. Only the blue 'play again' button.

        I have a Roku.

I think there’s something going on. I’ve been trying a thing stuff all week which I commonly switch to something else and come back to minutes or hours later to to continue or finish.

Sometimes it’s only minutes into, sometimes well into.

in each case this week in the my Vudu and continue watching they were there.

Last night however it wasn’t in continue watching. Weird and frustrating. I searched for the time and it asked if I wanted to continue, which I did and it started right where I had left it.

For whatever reason last night it wasn’t showing in my continue, but everything else the prior week had.

I do most, not all viewing on my Roku Ultra’s.

Lujan and you would be wrong to an extent I have all 10 seasons of Smallville and for instance, I was watching season 5 last night and I watched half of an episode and it’s not there for me to resume playing in the main menu under my Vudu. I literally have to go into season 5 and find the episode. I was watching to resume it! This is absolutely ridiculous and fandango or VUDU which ever they like to be called now needs to fix this and I mean now I’ve got over 1000 movies and TV shows in my Vudu account and I’m over it! I’m seriously not gonna continue doing this all the time if it was one season or two seasons fine but I shouldn’t have to continue doing this with 10 seasons of a TV show!

If it was too close to the end it will consider it watched, and so won't show up on continue watching. This is how it's been from the beginning.

Correct. Something like about the time credits start it will consider it watched if you quit watching. Can't speak to how they determine the timing, chapters or other circumstances such as in quitting before credits either..

In case it helps, I wanted to mention that this happened to me before when I paused it then it timed out but I haven’t seen it when I exit intentionally. So perhaps that is a possible prerequisite in duplicating the problem. I should mention that I use a Roku so that is where I encountered the issue.
