Vudu has been making lots of improvements!

Vudu has made lots of improvements in the last year!

Removed HD purchasing option, upgraded HD purchases to HDX

Switched to adaptive streaming. (I haven't had a movie buffer in a long time!)

Launched very good Win 10 app. (Please bring it to Xbox One.)

Added free extra's to hundreds of movies. Please keep it up!

Finally added section for new catalog movies.

Launched UHD, and finally decided to suport HDR10.

Added Animation genre, and added Studio filter to My Movies section. (This is really helpful)

Added over 600 hundred titles to D2D, after a long break of adding very few.

    Discuss!

I forgot to mention: Disc + Digital. I want more of these.

I don't see that option when I go to http://www.vudu.com/movies/#my_vudu/my_movies. Is this something they're slowly rolling out?

The Animation filter option is in your library when sorting. The studio filter seems to be only in listings that are for sale.

I forgot to mention that the Studio filter is available in the Win10 app when viewing your collection.

That's one of the things I love about Vudu; when I buy a disc, it will never change except to possibly degrade and eventually fail. When I buy a license, they may get new encodes, better quality audio and video, etc. Improvements are not only possible, with Vudu they seem a certainty.

It'd be great if they rolled that out to the website too, then. Seems like it'd be very useful indeed, for all customers.

Then again, I just tried it in the Win10 app, and it didn't actually work. I saw the Studio filter, but choosing a studio (any studio) in it, just showed me all the same movies.

I'll say this, before Vudu when I was still buying Blu-rays, I would never watch the special/bonus features. However, with the addition to so many titles now including extras, just a click away, I have been watching lots of them. I hope we get extras down the road for catalog titles. It would be awesome.

While it's clear that Vudu is #1 in the UV streaming space, perhaps I might caution that the team be careful here.

From Marketing Warfare, you might take heed to attack yourself when your #1, lest a competitor do it for you.

You have Daddy W behind you, why not call in the big guns when you're not making good progress with the studios? I think the incorrect aspect ratios is one of the most egregious violations for those of us who love movies. Ben Hur (1959) in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio? Seriously?

The risk with just staying one step ahead as #1 is that eventually you'll miscalculate. Compete against yourselves and crush your competitors before they are even in the game.

We just added a 'Studio' filter to the My Movies list on the website. Keep your suggestions coming!

                      Awesome! Thank you.

I wish we could manage our collections better. For example, I have Breaking Bad showing up as three entrees of two seasons each. I really wish I could change it to just one entry for the whole series.

Thank you Vudu! Please give us the option to sort by our personal ratings. And it would be great and much more precise if we could rate our movies by a different measurement, such as on a scale of 1-10 (and allowing for ratings like 7.5, etc.).

Also, add the Rotten Tomatoes % to the popup window when hovering over a movie. This would be very helpful when scanning a bunch of movies to consider renting or purchasing.

                          Awesome.

                          Some suggestions:

The ability to skip backwards by 30 seconds in case you missed a line (you can always press on the bar where you want to go, but it's often difficult to go back just a little bit, especially on a long movie).

The ability to filter by movies that have UV and those that don't. (mostly for in store, for those that just want to purchase movies that have UV support).

The ability to create a watch list where you can add and remove movies you own that you want to watch (so you don't have to search for a movie in the future if you have a large collection)

The ability to reset the time watched in all episodes of a season of a tv series (that way, when you watch a tv show you've already watched before, it's easy to track what episode you're on)

Yes, Vudu has been improving slowly over time but they need to prioritize certain improvements, the whole "Search" feature needs to be redone to catch-up to modern times.

As for the items mentioned in the OP:

                            - I still have "Reclaim" and "Triangle" showing as HD, did not get converted to HDX

                            - I tried to watch Poltergeist and was unable to watch it as it continued to stop and buffer. There was nothing wrong with my internet connection as I was able to stream it from another provider. This was when using the Vudu app/channel on Roku3.

                            - On another note, I still have 100+ movies in UV that will not transfer to Vudu, both UV and Vudu support keep passing the buck.

I'm loving all of the improvements as well! My biggest request is for a new Xbox One app. The movies play fine once I get to them but it is a nightmare to navigate. If you can't give us a new app then here are a few suggestions to make it easier to use:

                              - Allow casting from Vudu mobile app to Xbox One
                              - Allow searching on only titles we own
                              - Allow the use of the Xbox One app for typing in the search box
                              - Allow us to sort our collections

As I stated, a brand new Xbox One app would be ideal but I'll take any improvements you can give us. Also, please add the rest of the Halloween franchise! It's killing me (no pun intended) to not have the whole series for the Halloween season.

Thanks for all of your hard work!
