New UHD Titles with Codes - But No UHD Redeem Link at VUDU

These 3 films are still only HDX at VUDU - but UHD codes came out on Tuesday.

    Annie
    Last Picture Show
    To Sir, With Love

FelipeF - can you ask VUDU to update?

Blame Sony. “It Happened One Night” is missing HDR across all platforms.

Has this been fixed yet? Don't understand why only 3 of the 6 codes from this set redeem in 4K. Should be an easy fix.

I'm still sitting here waiting very impatiently for Vudu to get around to making the remaining three films of this set UHD please! I've waited forever to have Annie in 4K and now I have to wait longer.

Call Sony. It is all up to them.

Sony’s official response to the movies from the Columbia Classics 4K UHD Collection Vol 3 missing 4K and/or HDR and/or Dolby Atmos:

”We have forwarded your concern and unfortunately, as a studio we cannot control what versions of our titles digital platforms offer to their consumers. Our content gets sent over to the retailers and they choose what version of the movie that platform will carry.”

I hope somebody, Vudu or Sony can fix this.

So far there is NO WAY to see Annie 1982 or To Sir, With Love digitally in 4K or 4K HDR. At all. Nothing. All the retailers and MoviesAnywhere play HD only, even with 4K rights.

All the retailers are currently messed up. Itunes has It Happened One Night in 4K Dolby Vision for instance. Vudu is 4K only. The Last Picture Show is in 4K Dolby Vision at itunes. Vudu it is still HDX.

Itunes is not perfect either. From Here To Eternity is HD, Vudu has that in 4K Dolby Vision. As Good As It Gets is 4K HDR10 at itunes. Vudu has it in 4K Dolby Vision.

I'm surprised, usually retail releases aren't THIS messy. The last two box sets I don't recall having this problem.

I contacted Sony via email. Who knows if that will achieve anything.

In my experience, it won’t. SPHE Customer Service is the one that provided the response I quoted in response #7, the same response they have provided for the last few years. But then again, maybe if more people complain to them, something will get fixed. There is no reason whatsoever for “Uncharted” to be missing a Dolby Atmos track on Vudu, but Vudu blames Sony and Sony once again provided that canned response that they have no control over how a movie is offered on a retailer.
