    Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon Shows

With the complete series of "The Powerpuff Girls" and "Cow and Chicken" available to buy, does anyone know what's holding up the rights to other Cartoon Network shows getting the full season releases? Things like "Courage the Cowardly Dog" and "Dexter's Lab"?

Same question goes for Nickelodeon classics. Why do they only have the complete series' for "Hey Arnold", "Doug", and "Spongebob", but they haven't released full ones for "Rugrats", "Catdog", "Aaah! Real Monsters!", etc.?

I feel like they're sitting on money here!

    Hi,

I don't know the specifics on those, but I definitely agree and know that there are also other shows and movies that need to be added.

It appears that a lot of studios are making the exact same mistake you mentioned given at least several very popular shows and movies I'm very familiar with are completely missing from streaming. I've mentioned these before in other threads, but it seems worth repeating.

My suggestion would be for customers like ourselves to encourage streaming companies like Vudu to push the studios to make these missing shows and movies available. Separately as individual customers, I don't think the studios would really listen to use (and I don't even know how to contact the people in those studios who could have any real influence on making those decisions). But I would think that a company like Vudu could have a significant impact on them and they obviously have contact with the studios so do know how to contact them (and that contact being with the people that actually work with the streaming companies). I've posted a few times with this same request for Vudu, therefore they may have already contacted one or more of these studios for all I know.

The next best solution for the time being seems to be to buy physical media.

Some of the movies and shows I've personally been wanting and are missing from streaming include:
    - Transformers original 1980's series seasons 2-3 (and the short season 4)
    - The Stargate original 1994 movie
    - Hercules the Legendary Journeys missing season 1 movies (all 5 of them) and seasons 2-6; right now, only half of season 1 (just the episodes, no movies) is available

I have these on DVD's, but it would be much more convenient if I also had a streaming copy (which also serves as a backup copy).

Perhaps it would be worth starting a dedicated thread "Show and movies missing from streaming" or some such that would be along the lines of some other threads that already exist for subjects such as wrong aspect ratios, missing high resolutions, and so on. That way perhaps more people would respond and give us more votes for addressing this issue.

    Thanks
