The Scorpion King movies wrong sale price (not $5)

    Hi,

These movies are listed in a $5 sale category but are $8, please fix so they are correctly $5 - thank you

Note that this is with respect to the 3rd-5th movies - I haven't checked the first 2 since I already own those

    Thank you

I just got off a chat and they said that it is a glitch in the system and they will not honor the advertised price.

The new regime never honors their errors, unless it benefits them.

        Thanks

I think the chat agent was probably mistaken because it turns out another service has them at that price ($5). And happens to qualify for Movies Anywhere, by the way ... since it would benefit them to at least price match, that way they get the money instead of a competing company, that is even more reason to suspect that the particular chat agent was likely simply mistaken.

These things seem to happen with a lot of companies. I had a similar problem happen with Apple a while back - a series I wanted was $25, I bought it (and the cell phone program displayed a dialog box saying that it had been purchased), but unlike another title I bought at the same time, I later never got an email receipt (and I hadn't thought to immediately check it had shown up in my library). So I called them up and the agent (again, meaning Apple) was very nice but still refused to honor the $25 price which had since suddenly jumped up to $50. He said the price must have been a mistake at the $25 price and his "computer wouldn't let him give me the other price" (always a bit of a ridiculous excuse - then have someone fix it!), but I later realized that he had almost certainly been making an incorrect assumption because they started doing more temporary half price sales around that same time. He should have honored the $25 price but refused to even try. So not making excuses for them, but it would seem that many companies have a disconnect with some of their support staff properly understanding the sale prices. It is a shame that they don't at the very least check with the people who set the sale prices.

The agent wasn't mistake. Over the last two months, I've seen several movies that I wanted to purchase that were advertised as $5, but when I went to purchase, it had a higher price. I took a screen shot all three times this occurred and reached out to a customer service rep via chat two times and over the phone one time. All three times they would not honor their advertised prices, and only apologized for the error. I certainly miss when VUDU honored their errors with a credit.

            > The agent wasn't mistake

            Thanks for your reply

I completely understand what you are saying and agree overall, but my point was that in this particular case there were other companies advertising it for $5 (with it qualifying for Movies Anywhere), it was in a $5 category, and I've even had a customer service agent (from Apple) make the error of not understanding nor honoring an actual and correct sale price, thus quite a bit of evidence that in this particular case it was more likely the agent who was mistaken rather than the person who put it in the $5 category.

In those other cases you mentioned I agree that it would have been more likely that the person who put it in the $5 category was mistaken than the agent.

But whatever the case, my suggestion for not only Vudu, but also other streaming companies, as well, would be that if they are not already doing so (and maybe Vudu is, I don't know), to make sure when a customer reports a sale price problem that the customer service representatives are able to check with the people who set up the sales to find out definitively which price is correct. I do know the Apple agent I dealt with certainly didn't check (he even told me he didn't have a way to do so).
