Are all digital codes that come with UHD movies also UHD?

I just bought Legend of Tarzan on UHD & when I redeemed the digital copy I was surprised to see that it too was also UHD rather than HDX. Is that true of all digital copies packaged with UHD movies?

Here is what I understand so far although there are others on the forum with more experience with this than me. Depends on the studio:

Fox-No (they have no UHD titles on Vudu yet)
Warner-Yes through Flixster (not if you redeem through Vudu supposedly)
Dreamworks- Unknown (Do they have UHD BD discs yet?)
    Universal-Yes through Flixster
    Paramount-Unknown
Sony-Yes through Sony (Not sure about Vudu or Flixster)
Lionsgate/Summit-Heard yes through Flixster although not 100% sure about this
    MGM-Unknown

It's stuff like this that makes people complain how confusing UltraViolet is. Seriously, the movie studios and providers need to get it together.

I started using Flixster all the time for 2 reasons:

          1. I heard it doesn't always redeem in UHD on Vudu (for instance Batman vs. Superman) was not redeeming and customers had to call and wait for long periods to get it corrected.

          2. When I redeem on Vudu it takes a long time to show up on the UV site and sometimes (for instance Ninja Turtles Out of the Shadows) I had to call Vudu to get it added to UV.

          19 UHD
          755 HDX

I redeemed a few UHD codes and I know that at least some of them should have redeemed UHD. I contacted support and they basically told me no UHD codes redeem in UHD and I was just SOL.

Which ones specifically are you referring to and that's definitely not true. I just redeemed two of them a few minutes ago and they both redeemed in UHD.

Here's a pretty good guide about what redeems where, and at which quality level:

Thanks! That is a bummer about Paramount. Kind of makes sense that Fox doesn't since they have no UHD content on Vudu but Paramount does.

So far the only Paramount UHD movie on Vudu is Star Trek Beyond but I guess it's a start?

Vudu's addition of Star Trek Beyond in UHD is a new announcement: http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...by-atmos/35609

and since the disc actually hasn't been released yet, it's uncertain (but promising!) that the code in the Ultra HD disc will redeem on Vudu in UHD quality.

Yes but what about the Star Trek and Into Darkness UHD discs that are out now? These must be the ones that don't get UHD rights on UVVU.

Redemptions of those codes (up until now) have resulted in HD rights (not UHD) being granted. Although they and other titles may eventually come, ST: Beyond is currently the only Paramount title to be UHD (and it's currently unknown what rights will be granted from an Ultra HD code redemption).
