Non UV and DMA Movies on Vudu

I am fairly new but love Vudu. I feel that I understand UV and DMA pretty well. However I am unsure about purchases that have no 3rd party backing.

Here is what I am concerned with...

I love Star Wars. I have paid for the first 3 movies several times.... VHS, Special Edition, DVD, Blu Ray ect... All versions have pretty much the same content with various levels of enhancements. Unfortunately my Blu Rays did not come with codes... I bought them before streaming was an option so I don't get that luxury. I now have to pay again if I want to stream them so.... there goes some more money. As much as I love these movies it gets tiresome buying the same content over and over again.

So... to my question. I know Star Wars is DMA now so that movie is fine... Hopefully the license will follow even if Vudu folds (unlikely since it's a Wal-Mart product) or of I change services form Vudu to something else that comes available in the future. However what if I buy Rocky II which is not UV right now... it's also not DMA... but Vudu sells it. If UV picks up this title will I get it added to my UV library or will I have to buy it again to get it added?

I know this may sound like a strange question but I have avoided buying several titles... Rocky and Indiana Jones movies in particular... just for this reason. Do any of you power users have any feedback on this topic?

    Thanks,
    RMCasey

Rocky II is not DMA because it's an MGM title, not Disney. If the title becomes UV down the road, it will add it to your UV locker (or at least it should). However, being it's from MGM, you could be waiting a long time for it to become UV. A lot of their titles are not UV, mainly just new ones are, but I've seen some older ones, too.

Personally I don't buy any title that isn't UV or DMA...

Keep in mind too that in the case of Star Wars, Episode 4 is UV and the rest are DMA. Not that that makes things more confusing or anything

Everyone says Episode 4 is UV, but it says nothing about it being UV on Vudu? Am I missing something?

There's only one in the search results, and it's the +Bonus Features. Nothing says UV there, or when you click on the movie inside of it....

I just double checked it on my phone - scroll all the way to the bottom and you should see the UV logo under "More Info"...

It must only show up on devices and not computers, as there's nothing under more info that says anything about it being UV.

My brother was going to use credits and buy it on his account for me, but I said not to since there was no UV posting on it. :\

When it ports to my account from his, I won't get the bonus features, will I? Also, I thought I read here before that all +Bonus Features were going away, and being added as Vudu Extras?

I think so but not sure. The extras things is more or less just a name change. Instead of having a version that says "+ Bonus Features" and one that doesn't, there will be one SKU of the movie and it will have extras if available.

Make sure you are clicking twice. Once to get into the movie/bonus features and then click on the movie inside that folder (where you see the movie plus the 3 bonus features) to see the UV status. That's where I see it's UV on my computer.

See and that's strange too because that's where I DONT see it on my phone or Roku - I see it on the first one that has the bonus features...
