    Prices for Catalog Titles

I wish Vudu could work something out with the studios so they could offer cheaper prices for older titles from Touchstone and Disney. I don't see why it's nearly $20 for a title such as Big Business, when you can buy the Blu-ray for $5. Yes, it's from Mill Creek, but still. Also, Sister Act and Sister Act 2 are both nearly $20 each, when you can buy the double feature Blu-ray (by Disney themselves) for the same price, if not cheaper.

I bought Sister Act for 50% off from FandangoNow when they had a Cyber Monday sale but it was only for a few hours.

    27 UHD
    771 HDX
    2 SD

Even then it wouldn't transfer to Vudu.

Yes, it's a shame. I don't buy any catalog Touchstone movies simply because of the price. I'm sure that's the case for many people. Wouldn't you think the studio would realize this and make it so they sell tons more movies? I don't get it, especially since it's been this way for a long time. Dumb.

I've actually started buying some, though I still say they could do with a price cut! The Touchstone are owned by Disney, so I say either lower them a few bucks, or make them DMA (along with all other studios owned by Disney). I just purchased 9 titles that were Touchstone or Walt Disney (non-DMA) releases. I would totally buy more if one of the two things listed above happened.

I was talking about this only yesterday with a fellow Vuduer. Touchstone & Hollywood Pictures prices make no sense. To rent SD is $2.99, to rent HDX is $3.99. To buy SD is $9.99 and yet to BUY HDX is $17.99. No other studio has an 80% increase between SD & HDX.

I own about a dozen of these titles, and have over a dozen more in my wishlist. Some have been there for years, waiting for a sale. Almost all of these titles are more than 20 years old, I can't see how they command such a high price. If Disney would see fit to adjust pricing or even put them on sale for $12-$14, I'd probably pick them up in one swoop.

Has there ever been a sale that included Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures titles? I don't recall ever seeing any. I actually just made purchases of 10 titles that were Touchstone or Walt Disney (yet not DMA), only because I had saved on Vudu credits from other purchases, and I received some Walmart gift cards for the Holidays! I got all in my wishlist out of the way, though there are a few more I would like to buy, but just can't find the money to toss away on something that should be cheaper. Maybe if I get some gift cards for my birthday I will finally purchase Mr. Wrong!

The Sixth Sense was on sale for $6.99 during one of their Halloween sales this past October which was surprising. The Fright Night remake which is Dreamworks/Touchstone was also $6.99 on one of those sales. Those are the only ones I can recall at this moment.

Yes I bought both of those during this sale because I never see them on sale. They were on my wishlist for years.

Lionsgate is really good with prices, especially when it comes to older titles. I wish there was a way Vudu could get our voices over to Disney.

While the movies are overpriced tv is even worse. 3 years ago I got the entire collection of married with children for 25 bucks at best buy. To get them all on Vudu it would cost 130.
