VUDU needs to stop putting time limits on credits

I had $6 in credit as a result of the downtime VUDU suffered last week. It expired last night after a week of activation. What is the point of limiting the amount of time you can use credit? It's a horrible way to treat customers and almost verges on thievery. Its the equivalent of someone giving you money, only to take your wallet and steal it back. Disgusting.

Be glad you got a credit. I wasn't able to watch content last week either when I tried and called them but they didn't offer me a credit even though I have a lot of titles with them.

Sure wish I got that credit but wasn't on Facebook at 2am to see the fifteen minute offer before they pulled it.

Vudu only wanted to "make it right" for few people, the rest of us can go to...

It's just like a limited time promotion (Discount/sale, etc.) in a physical store. It's only available for as long as said promotion is available. I buy a lot of my digital movies from Vudu (A lot of ultraviolet movies), and I'm always checking out what promotions they have, discounts, etc. Last year, I was given a five dollar credit for some promotion they (Vudu) were having at the time. Once I activated the credit, I went through my wishlist, figured out what I wanted for that time and bought what I wanted. If you read an email offering you free credits, you should see a notice in ( ) that reads that the credits/promotion will only be valid for a certain period of time. It's no different than gift cards you might receive or buy someone as well.

How did you avoid buying anything during the great end of year sales?! I spent a lot more than $6!

I think it was actually around 9:30pm EST / 6:30pm PST. I happened to see it a few minutes after it was posted but the credit kept giving me an error message, and then it finally died before I was able to successfully redeem.

I actually still have the last twitter post loaded in my browser, it says "Don't worry, we will make things right. It's Christmas after all! Stay tuned..."

            So I am waiting patiently!
