give us the option to change language

If we own the movie we should be able to change the language. Provide more subtitles, vudu limits itself by this. we are paying around 15 dollars for the movies we should have this option. we should also have a main menu of the movie if we OWN the movie. im leaning towards more buying dvds of movies i want because of this i know im not the only one.

That would require so much overhead and bandwidth to allow such a thing. Just imagine having separate audio tracks for each language for each title. That's not reasonable for streaming purposes at all. Would probably drive up the cost on content and drain your data usage as well.

So be it, Im pretty sure im not the only one who will cash out another 5 bucks to change the language in our movies. You are making it seem like its going to cost them an arm and a leg. Netflix offers a lot of subtitles and even other audios in their movies. Movies that vudu also have and we can change the language. so for vudu to not have this feature is something i do not understand.

Except that other services like iTunes and Netflix already do this. For example, I just picked a movie at random in my iTunes account and you can switch on the fly both the spoken audio tracks and the subtitles between English, French, Spanish, and Mandarin...

This is a feature I've been wanting for so long. I find it quite antiquated that we don't get this option. iTunes and Netflix both have this option; I've no idea about Google Play. In addition, I'm surprised that we don't have the option for subtitles in other languages. This is very annoying and unfortunate for those speakers of different languages. As far as the main menu for movies, I think it looks nice (just as iTunes has it), but I'd rather have a more sophisticated and aesthetically pleasing interface.

Yes, I would love this feature!

                NO NOT THE ONLY ONE
I have the same problem, I like watching the movies in English and Spanish for my daughter and my parents. It sucks a lot of my movies are only through vudu and can't watch in Spanish, or they don't even have an option to buy it in Spanish, oh and while I was in Mexico, if I was on a WiFi, it wouldn't let me log in to Vudu saying my acct was US based not Mexico.
I wish they would just automatically add Spanish in the extras like the Movie Coco.

I agree with the original poster. Give us a choice I prefer to listen to my anime in the original language with English subs (my native language).

Any updates on this? Would be amazing if there was a feature like this on Vudu.

After watching the Vudu trailer for the Russian film Attraction, dubbed in English, I bought the film in Vudu, expecting to hear it in english, but instead it was just english subtitles. The film looked like fun, but I would have enjoyed it more in english. Definitely disappointed.

Are they working on this? I would like to have the option to change the language on Vudu movies like iTunes allows with theirs.

Today, as a matter of fact, I wanted to watch Coco but in Spanish. Since Vudu doesn't offer this I had to use the Movies Anywhere app on my TV. I don't see why Vudu can't just offer this as an option.

Vudu is already doing the exact same thing when you switch resolutions midstream (between SD, HDX, or UHD). Essentially, it switches from one file source to another one. I don't see why they can't do the same with languages, just switch from one file source to another.

In a world where everything is going digital, if the dvd itself, google play. Movies anywhere, heck xfinity has a language track why can't Vudu have it too?
