    Lost Movies on Vudu

I just recently lost 8 movies on Vudu. Are they having technical issues again?

    53 UHD
    786 HDX
    2 SD

I noticed I lost five as well. Luckily I have a notepad of all my digital movies for just this occasion and was able to locate which five. All Disney/Marvel movies. I unlinked and re-linked my VUDU/DMA account together and they reappeared, but now those five movies are only showing as "SD" instead of HDX as they were prior. So frustrating and this better be corrected.

When that's happened to me I've fixed it by reconnecting my link to UV and to VUDU on MYUV.

Yes, exactly the same thing happened with me when unlinking and then relinking. Fortunately, we can watch these in HD on iTunes. Amazon is now showing them in SD as well. I guess it's time to call DMA?

Called DMA and they say it's an issue with the vendor (iTunes) so if you redeemed your digital copy with iTunes then you may have this issue where it's now showing up as SD instead of HD. They said they would email me when the issue is fixed.

We are already investigating this issue from our end and working with Disney to see what's going on.

Issue is specific to Disney movies redeemed on iTunes. All other Disney material purchased on VUDU or redeemed via DMA seems fine. All SD iTunes Disney movies are showing a Purchase Date of today. Hope this is resolved quickly.

                Re: Lost Movies on Vudu

This also affects Disney digital codes that came with DVD's (Iron Man 3 DVD + Digital Copy, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh DVD + Digital Copy, Tigger Movie DVD + Digital Copy, etc.) that were redeemed at DMA and have nothing to do with iTunes. I suspect all of this was done by Disney, not iTunes. They are reverting things that were upgraded to HD back to SD. I just hope that all of the Digital copy disc codes from 3d Blu-ray sets (released 2010-2013) that were upgraded from SD to HD are not going to be next to be reverted back to SD.

Anyone know if we'll regain our HD status or will we have to purchase the titles affected once again which I really don't care to do since I already own the HD version in the first place.

                    Re: Lost Movies on Vudu

Well! All I will say is if our HD/HDX titles are going to stay SD now (for no reason), I will be DONE with digital. I will go back to discs only, and say screw Disney, Vudu and iTunes. So far, Vudu, Disney and UV have had so many issues in the last year it's pathetic!

So, you don't care if you have to repurcahse your HD titles AGAIN? I find that a tad bit odd!

Sorry you find it odd but I'd rather spend $17.99 or $19.99 whichever the case may be, on titles I don't own then ones I already own. None of us should have to repurchase our titles again including yourself. My bad for feeling this way!

You'd rather spend the money on titles you don't already own? Cool, me too. I'd not want to spend money on titles I already OWNED and they reduced to SD quality.

He could have corrected me, but he still insisted on what I said, so.....
