Not sure if it's a iTunes or DMA issue...I redeemed Captain America First Avenger & Thor at iTunes after the DMA/VUDU link. iTunes show these are still HD but only SD at DMA & VUDU. There's something strange happening here...every month we experience a new hiccup in this digital eco system. Not purchasing anything else until this is corrected.

I have two movies with this issue as well-- they both now show at the top of the recent purchase sort view and are now both SD when they should be HD/HDX.

For some titles such as Lion King, there is no way to replace them even if I were willing to pay for the a 5th time, which I am not.

If Vudu has some insight into why this has happened and what Disney's plans are, it would relieve a lot of their customer's anxiety. Please keep us up to date on this, as Disney has either neglected to or is intentionally keeping this from us.

6 of my titles were downgraded as well.

    Captain America TFA
    Thor 1
    Iron Man 2
    Iron Man 3
    Peter Pan
    The Nightmare Before Christmas

All of these were redeemed on Itunes, but other titles I redeemed there weren't affected at all. Also, all the aforementioned movies are still showing HD on my Itunes account. Has anyone tried unlinking their DMA account and relinking it to VUDU? I pondered doing that but also thought it would be prudent to wait and see if this problem sorted itself out.

Re: Disney movies downgraded to SD

I own 98 Disney movies but only three titles got downgraded to SD (Bolt, Planes and Robin Hood -animated) all three were redeemed via Disney or Vudu from enclosed digital codes. Sure hope somebody fixes this screw up. My question is how does something like this happen? Does somebody say, "hey I have a great idea lets just randomly downgrade people's movies for no good reason". I've legally purchased my movies and have legally redeemed them and some jack hole does this. I'm upset because I've had many issues with digital copies (Flixster not porting over UV movies, Vudu cancelling my pre-order for no reason cancelling my redeemed code then refusing to credit my account, that snafu last year where people lost hundreds of movies (some came back some did not) and now this.

Hope Disney can fix this as I've given all my Blurays to my nieces and nephews to destroy.

5 of mine were downgraded. All movies that were redeemed on itunes. Alice In Wonderland (live action), Wall-E, Cars, Lady and the Tramp and Pirates of the Caribbean on stranger tides.

Pretty sure we'll regain the HD status. When that happens is anyone's guess.

Same here . . . (9) Disney movies downgraded to SD.
Brave, Captain America, Finding Nemo, Frankenweenie, Iron Man 2, John Carter, The Avengers, Monsters, INC., and Thor.

I just saw this on my Vudu account. I was wondering what was going on until I came to the Vudu Forum and saw this post.

All of these movies got shuffled to the top of my movie list like I just purchased them . . . which is why I noticed it in the first place.

Just an FYI.... I see where supposedly this is just a problem that occurred with redemption using ITunes.... Nope, I don't have a tunes account and have only redeemed either thru Disney or VUDU. Had 5 movies switch from HDX to SD. This is the kind of stuff that really discourages people who have seriously invested in their collections.

Same here. However, they show as SD in the DMA app.

Because your linked DMA library changed, the HDX movies phased out from vudu. If you give it some time, the SD versions will resync on their own, or you can force it by relinking your DMA account, or making another change to your DMA library such as redeeming a new code or making a new purchase.
