I might finally upgrade to the Apple TV 4. My Roku just stopped working last week. I now have to use my Tivo to watch Vudu, and I don't like using it.

I own both, and I cannot recommend the Apple TV more, especially with Vudu and Amazon coming...

I loved my Apple TV, but after waiting forever for Vudu to come to Apple TV, I ended up buying a Roku TV to have all my apps in one spot, instead of having multiple devices. Just sold my ATV today!

I think that might be remedied in September. Tim Cook made it a point to say at today's keynote that there will be more with the Apple TV this fall...

Yeah there have been some credible rumors that the Apple TV will be updated to 4K this fall. They talked about HDR & H.265 support coming to the iPad and the Mac today as well which means only a matter of time before it comes to Apple TV. That combined with Vudu and Amazon Video coming will make it hands down the best streamer IMO.

Then Atmos 2 years from now? Dolby Vision perhaps another year out? But yeah, its the best streamer because it might do things in the future...

It's also the best streamer because there are many people to whom overall interface and transport control (FF, rewind, timeline scrubbing, etc.) is more important than 4k.

Oh boy...so Vudu is finally coming to the Apple TV (later this year)? It's only been over a year since they first indicated that it was being worked on. You'd think they were working on a cure for cancer. What the heck is taking so long?

One thing that I see missing from the screenshots is the ability to sort titles. This is incredibly important to me because I have about 1500 movies and it will be a chore to find titles otherwise.

Thank you and looking forward to having this as another way to enjoy my movies!
