The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience. Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc).     VUDU UHD ENABLED ON MY SAMSUNG TV!

    A pleasant surprise I discovered today. VUDU UHD IS ENABLED ON MY SAMSUNG TV VUDU APP! THANK YOU VUDU!!!
    AND DOLBY ATMOS IS playing through my YAMAHA A/V RECEIVER. AWESOME!

    To let the VUDU engineers know, the picture quality is fantastic. And the sound quality is just amazing. I thought I was dreaming when I checked my VUDU APP from my Samsung TV and discovered the UHD FOLDER! And DOLBY ATMOS playing through my TV is beyond fantastic. I sure hope in the future Dolby Vision will be available too. But I will say, the picture quality I'm viewing now is incredible.

    I just purchased my SAMSUNG TV a week ago at Sam's Club. A 2017 model.

      Try doing a software update on your TV. Make sure you're not viewing from an APP, just from a TV Channel. I'm kind of assuming all Samsung TVS are similar when it comes to the SETTINGS MENU. Go to SETTINGS, then to SUPPORT, then to SOFTWARE UPDATE...

      Then try the VUDU APP again to see if the UHD FOLDER has been activated. If not, try powering your TV OFF for a few minutes. If still not working, I would assume eventually it will. My TV is a new 2017 model. Series 6. I've never owned a SAMSUNG before. This TV is so awesome, won't be buying any other brand going forward. I'm a troubleshooting specialist for a cable company and I hear nothing but praise for the SAMSUNG brand.

        Hello Bond007,

        We are working on some bugs specific to the 2016 6XXX models with Samsung that is blocking UHD support. Once these bugs are resolved the 2016 6XXX model TVs will also support UHD.

              Hello Danglin,

              Yes the KU line is the Model line I was refering too. The bugs we are working on affect all models in the KU line up.

              Once the bugs are addressed all KU models will have UHD enabled.

                    Oh man, and I just complained in the other thread about this. lol Need to check my tv when I get home! I don't think I tried viewing a UHD movie on VUDU in a few days. Just went to other services as usual.

                    I have a UN65KS8000 (2016 model).

                      Jon77, I have the same UN65KS8000 model as you. Were you able to get UHD playback to work?

                        I have a UN55KU6290 model Samsung. Is there any progress on getting UHD content to play on the Vudu app? I keep updating and nothing is changing.

                          I got a software update for my Samsung UN70KU6300 last week, but still not able to watch UHD with the Vudu app. I'm curious as to whether or not there is an update on this as well. I enjoy my TV and I enjoy Vudu and I'm hopeful that these bugs are still being worked on.

                              I have UN60KU6300FXZA Samsung TV. Similar troubles, Vudu works great on Roku, Ipad, etc. I purchased some movie for my kids and the darn thing stops, freezes and crashes all the time while we want to watch on the main TV in the family room. App is up to date. My Roku in the basement is 4 years old and it works great, this TV is less than a year old and it is having so much trouble it's unusable.

                              i wish i didn't buy this video from Vudu and went with Amazon

                              Can I get a refund?
