    I can confirm, if you bought GotGv2 in 4K but the code redeemed as HDX, contact Disney. They will fix it.

      We're happy to let you know that the 4K UHD version of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is available if linked to a VUDU account! At this time, the 4K UHD format of this title is only available at VUDU. This title will sync to Disney Movies Anywhere and other participating providers in HD format.


      It is still only showing up as HDX in Vudu. Contacting Disney didn?t help.

          I got the UHD version at Vudu when I redeemed my UHD/3D code at DMA. Is there anyway to get the rights to stream the 3D version from Vudu?

            How did you contact them? I e-mailed their digital code redemption support and received this message back:

            Thank you for your email.

            The Digital Copy codes included in the 4K UHD Combo Packs unlock an HD version of the movie through your preferred provider. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a UHD Digital Movie code.

            We appreciate your comments and will share your request for a 4K UHD Digital Copy with the rest of our team.

            I basically said that when I redeemed the code from the 4K version, the movie shows up as HDX on Vudu.

              Doubtful. I have a ton of 3D Blu-rays, and none of them have ever granted streaming rights for 3D.

                Disney's Oz the Great and Powerful 3D was granted streaming rights about this time a year ago...but that may have been because of a hiccup that happened at that time. Anyways...I have it available to stream!!!

                      I bought the 4k GOTU2 at bestbuy before they gave the 4k digital to those guys that bought it after September or on the first hour of street date, and I can definately confirm I got the 4k digital copy free upgrade by calling the number below. After I gave them my info, I just had to restart roku and log back into vudu and it was there. Just make sure your vudu account is connected to your disneyanywhere account and is active. The email u used on disneyanywhere to register your 4k GOTG 2 has to match when its connected to your VUdu. It cant be a family, friend, or shared account email used, has to be the main vudu and main disneyanywhere account that the disc was registered to..

                      I hope disney gives us the 4k digital free upgrade too on Pirates Dead Man Tell No Tales.

                        I just got my Pirates of the Caribbean Steelbook case 4k set. I am happy to confirm and say ?redeeming the digital copy from the disney Movies anywhere app will give u the 4k UHD in Vudu?. Not sure if it redeems 4k on appletv am at a friends house, but if anyone has a apple tv with vudu or itunes we could see more disney 4k digitals now. Seems like our big protest on Guardians of the Galaxy 2 4k disc not redeeming as 4k on digital really got disney to make it fair. I hope this is for all upcoming disney 4k disc now. Not just Guardians, pirates, but for Marvel and Star Wars as well.

                          This did not work for me.... Both GotG2 and PotC DMTNT where both purchased 4K UHD Blu-Rays and registered through Disney Anywhere and both are showing that I only own the HDX version of the films. Anyone else having the same situation? Is VUDU or Disney going to correct this especially now with the new Movies Anywhere venture?

                            Good luck with that. The first rep I dealt with from Disney dropped a second redemption into my DMA account, but it didn't port out. Same rep then gave me a new code for me to manually redeem, and Movies Anywhere told me I already own the digital copy of GotG2 and ate the code anyway. VUDU rep then told me the redemption sheet doesn't say it gives UHD, so there is nothing they can do. Second Disney rep said Disney doesn't give UHD redemptions. (Why, then, did first Disney rep give me a new code for a UHD copy???)

                              Any change on this? Still haven't gotten a decent answer back from them. The MA thing seems to caused this to be even harder.
