Two Versions of Bambi - Why?

Purchased Bambi and redeemed the code on Google Play. As expected, the film ported to every connected service through DMA (newest artwork, etc), but when I come here I see that instead of being given the new version with the Vudu extras:

    https://www.vudu.com/movies/#!conten...ure-Collection

instead I was given access to:

    https://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content/43825/Bambi

    Is there a reason why?

Seems like another posting issue with another Disney title, just like Beauty and the Beast. I'm sure Lion King will have the same issue once the upcoming Blu-ray is released, since it has two listings now.

I believe Disney said that for whatever reason iTunes opted to keep the original version of Bambi and not the new version (there really aren't any differences I can tell except the studio intro at the beginning). Same for Bambi II.

For that reason there exists 2 entries in Disney Movies Anywhere for each title, and depending on where you purchase or redeem your code, you will get one or both versions. I redeemed my code for Bambi on the DMR site was received both versions automatically. My code for Bambi II only issued one version when redeemed via DMR.

Beauty and the Beast was annoying since they pulled the old version, and there is only 1 entry at Disney Movies Anywhere. Lion King is going to have similar issues when the re-release hits, as Wasteland pointed out.
