King Arthur: Legend of the Sword Missing Dolby Atmos

I wanted to purchase King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, but noticed the 4K listing shows a Dolby Digital Plus option. Is the audio listing a mistake, or is it really missing the Dolby Atmos mix? The 4K disc includes Atmos.

I asked this very question over at the blu-ray.com site as well. Usually if the disc is Atmos, then the digital copy is Atmos on Vudu so this is very strange.

I purchased this yesterday, and it does include Dolby Atmos audio. It's mislabeled as standard Dolby Digital, can this please be corrected? Surely Vudu would want Atmos to be advertised, especially since it's a selling point of UHD.

Why do they keep mis-labeling the audio as they did this with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as well and then corrected it?

I know nothing about the details but I remember reading something this week on GotG Vol 2 that the way Vudu is handiling Dolby Atomos is to piggyback on DD+.

It make no sense to me, there was no further details, nor have I tried to research it yet.

          Just throwing it out there.

Yes, that has always been the case on Vudu, since they don't support lossless audio. Dolby Atmos includes a base layer of Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 (It used to be 7.1, but was unfortunately changed due to compatibility issues with specific devices). Without a base layer, those without an Atmos compatible device/receiver would not have audio when viewing 4K content. On Blu-ray or 4K disc, generally the base layer is a 7.1 or 5.1 Dolby TrueHD track. This is luckily just a labeling issue, and it does include Atmos metadata, but it should be labeled as such to help content sales. I'm way more likely to buy an UHD film when I can see that it includes a combination of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos before purchasing.

Yes, the audio is ATMOS. Labeling should be fixed.

                Thanks FelipeF,

Another title that is mislabeled, but includes Atmos is Power Rangers in 4K. Not a huge deal since one can only acquire it through the code included with the 4K disc, but it might as well be fixed for when it becomes available for direct purchase on Vudu.

It shows up as Dolby Digital when viewing, but my Anthem MRX1120 receiver properly plays it back as Atmos.

When are regular HDX movies going to have atmos like regular blurays? UHD blurays arent the only ones that have atmos, digital movies should be the same. Any reason for this? THe Atmos demos are regular HDX and play atmos, im sure movies can too.
