      yeah! this!

      WTH Disney??

If you pay extra for the 4k bluray, you should get the UHD digital copy.

First they shun Ultraviolet to make their own thing, and now this.... Makes it really hard to feel good about buying Disney discs....

Sorry if my post was confusing but your first point is entirely what my post was referring to and how do you figure the UHD Vudu version won't transfer to DMA?

Just an assumption. If you buy the UHD digital version from vudu im sure the HD version will transfer to DMA but my guess is you'll only ever be able to watch the UHD through place of purchase.

I think Disney and iTunes are both just waiting until the movie releases to flip the 4K switch:

AGAINST my better judgement I pre-ordered the Vudu UHD digital only.

Normally I would buy the UHD disc and redeem UHD code for Vudu streaming, if available, per title depending.

Vudu UHD is $22 ($25 - $3 rebate) Vs the $30 I often see for UHD streaming cost.

Depending on what we find when physical launches on street will determine what I do going forward.

I'm unlikely to pay $30 for a streaming only version for Disney, even if thats all they offer since I refuse to do it for any other studio even if they don't offer a UHD code with their UHD disc.

Considering the same. Did it give you UHD rights on DMA?

Oddly and disappointingly Vudu (Disney) did not allow view access until 10pm pacific, when its often 9pm pacific.

I did get UHD view access.

Typically when purchasing Disney on Vudu I get notified from Disney that it has added to DMA and points were awarded. Nothing so far.

According my DNA account it's in there though it says it was added May 5th for some odd reason.

Also only shows HD for viewing.

Also got 300 DMA rewards for the title. Highest I can recall.

Pro tip: when Vudu charges your pre-order, which for some reason they do the day before release date, DMA titles immediately become available to watch through other DMA providers. I was watching it through iTunes Monday morning

The other interesting thing is that my DMA redemption logs sows Guardians Vol.2 was redeemed as 3D and not the UHD I purchase. The points how were 400 which is above the 300 generally given for 3D titles.

I'll be interested to see what UHD disc purchasers get in the Vudu and DMA accounts.

When you go to a Disney/Marvel 2D/3D bundle on Vudu, it will list two different items. The 2D movie's page will indicate it is Disney Move Anywhere compatible (the blue D icon). The 3D movie's page doesn't indicate it is Disney Movie Anywhere or UltraViolet compatible, so it is clear that the 3D title purchase will only appear within Vudu.

When you go to the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 page on Vudu, it offers UHD/HD/SD all on the same page that has the Disney Movie Anywhere logo, which I think it is fair to interpret as indicating that the movie (in all formats listed on that page) is DMA compatible.

I am not showing this title as appearing as UHD on my Disney Movie Anywhere locker. Is the UHD version locked to only VUDU, or will it appear as UHD in my DMA locker once the 4k disc is released? I bought this title as it is a Disney Movie Anywhere title, would I be able to get a refund if the UHD version does not apply to DMA? The movie's page doesn't indicate anywhere that the UHD purchase may not actually be a Disney Movie Anywhere purchase (unless I missed it).
