Can I please get an official explanation of how the shared titles are affected in this transition? As in, my brother, best friend and I have set up a library of over 1,000 movies. It's been fun. Are the films carrying over to this other locker, is UVVU still around, what's going on overall?

How does the sharing aspect work, since that's what has gotten us to use VUDU in the first place? Will that stop under MA where you only see your films and not your circle?
if you're just looking to share MA movies..... I was able to do this by setting up a shared library on 'Google Play' ...... just keep in mind everyone you share with can use the shared payment method.... you can get around this by making the google accounts your sharing with between the ages of 13-17 .... at those ages you can make it a requirement to enter a Pin code to purchase anything......... of course only MA things will transfer to your google play..... out of the 1600 or 1700 movies I have only about 1000-1100 transfer over... and the MA doesn't transfer TV shows... also the google play app on Roku is horrible.... I still haven't figured out a way to sort anything, so I haven't even tried watching anything on it.. for me its sorted by purchase date which is good enough i guess..

Just bumping this looking for an official answer. My brother and I have spent three years building a shared library of over 1000 movies. Is it about to fall apart?

Bingo - This is pretty much the question myself and my circle are looking to get answered. It appears that because I am not the master UV account holder, I cannot see anything in MA I did not add. The ?master? account holder who?s shared UV library is linked to Vudu has reported he can see all eligible movies in our circle on MA.

Same here. I think myuv is just inundated with new users getting UV licenses from titles that transfered from other services via MA. Hopefully this issue is short lived, but Ultraviolet is pretty slow at getting anything fixed.

Amen brother! I could say the same thing!

Now that I've connected everything to MA, and I've checked that my library is in Amazon/Google I found myself asking "now what?" I will still use Vudu for streaming ( and sharing due to Ultraviolet ) and I'll still buy physical media.

    Thanks.
No more ignorant than the rest of us as that level of detail isn't know. TV titles haven't had good UV support as it is so having MA support isn't something I'd hold my breath for, at least not in for the near-term.

Have to take this initial win of finally getting most of our UV movies on the big 4 digital movie retailers. UV has been in stasis for years so even though I was ****ed at them for not joining UV, you gotta love what Disney has pulled off so far. Never got all our movies on UV (or DMA) either so likely we'll never be to 100% on Movies or TV if/when it is added.

All my movies mostly show up in movies anywhere but not a single one in itunes yet.

is it safe to unlink it through movies anywhere??

Edit: Downloaded itunes to the work computer. Under my account there is no "Apple ID summery" or movies anywhere listed.

Re: Is Ultraviolet dead? Anyone else considering jumping ship (to Apple/Google/Amazo

The only reason I started and continue to do a digital collection is because with Ultraviolet sharing I was able to share my movies with my family members and if it goes away I really hope Vudu can come up with a replacement to let our movies and tv shows continue to share with each other or else there will be very little incentive for me to continue with digital. I can see why some might like Movies Anywhere but for me Ultraviolet is far more useful and it's a shame more studios didn't embrace it.

With DMA I could buy a Disney movie on Vudu/Amazon/iTunes and it would be available to play in Vudu, Amazon, iTunes, and DMA.

Now, if you don't link Vudu to your MA account you won't be able to buy Disney movies on Vudu and have them show up anywhere else.

Vudu was my preferred buying program for Disney movies, but iTunes was my preferred viewing method on the Apple TV, and the DMA app was my preferred method on the Fire TV and Roku
