Well this Movies Anywhere thing is already a fricken mess. I linked my Amazon, Google, and DMA accounts last night and now this morning, all accounts show they're not connected and my movies are gone. WTF?

Connected those accounts again, movies don't show up. just the 5 freebies. Ugh....

Just wait until people unaware of the internal ongoing politics of these negotiations sign up for an account, only to find out that none of their movies from Sony, Parmount, or Lionsgate show up, with no explanation given except for a vague and inevitable "negotiations are ongoing and we are hopeful" spiel.

The entire point of this endeavor is ostensibly to ease the barrier of entry for those weary of digital. There should not be a launch until everyone is onboard, or else you're right back to people having too many hurdles and caveats, and just giving up.

FYI, Sony is on board and working.

Yes, I replied before you posted that.

Give it a little time to port. Not everything ported for me last night right away. Where do you have have movies? In all 3 (Amazon/iTunes/Google)?

It just so happened that the bulk of my Amazon purchased titles are Lionsgate and Paramount, so none of those carried over :/ So no 'Highlander', no 'Allied', and no Wells Go USA titles like 'Ip Man 3'.

EDIT: You can go to the Vudu pages for the movies in your library and see right now what should be MA compatible (it has a logo like DMA).

That's fantastic, actually! Bloomberg's reporting yesterday had Sony as offering an official, "no comment", but the article itself did make it seem as though they were still outside of the circle, or perhaps I just interpreted incorrectly and ***-umed, which is also entirely possible.

I happened to look through my library, and just to be clear...not ALL of my Sony is compatible. All the "major" movies are, such as Ghostbusters, and older titles like The Professional...but neither Candyman (Sony Pictures) or City of Lost Children (Sony Pictures Classics) are showing compatible yet. It might be that they are rolling it out in waves, with the sub-divisions coming later.

EDIT: The recent Ghostbuster movie is also being offered for free when you sign up for MA and link your other accounts, as one of 5 movies offered, each by different studios who are on board.
