You have to unlink MA from within the My Account in iTunes first....then reconnect.

You have to disconnect in iTunes, then reconnect from MA.

It might be that they are rolling it out in waves, with the sub-divisions coming later.

EDIT: The recent Ghostbuster movie is also being offered for free when you sign up for MA and link your other accounts, as one of 5 movies offered, each by different studios who are on board.

Thanks for the update..appreciate the great news. Now, let's go Paramount! I need to watch the Godfather trilogy annually!

Hey, Subliminal87! I just did this. Open iTunes. At the top taskbar click "Account". Then click "View My Account". Underneath the "Apple ID Summary" section you'll see "Movies Anywhere" and the option to disconnect. Disconnect and then reconnect through Movies Anywhere and you should be good to go!

FYI...my Standard Def UltraViolet titles, once migrated to MoviesAnywhere, appear to become HD through MoviesAnywhere and any other service you use. For instance, my SD Planet of the Apes collection became HD once it appeared in MoviesAnywhere, and the it migrated to my Amazon account (remaining HD). My Vudu account still shows SD, but it seems that transitioning from UV to MA upgrades your SD to HD.

edit: But, not all of them, as this did not apply to my copy of House Party.

Ultraviolet and Vudu only digital movies are not on Disney Movies Anywhere currently.

Vudu being an outlet for buying and watching Disney Movies Anywhere or the rebranded Movies Anywhere does not mean that the Ultraviolet movies will be ported over to Movies Anywhere.

One has nothing to do with the other.

If Ultraviolet folds, then the licenses for the Ultraviolet content will no longer be valid.

Vudu currently supports DMA, Ultraviolet, and their own digital content.

Once MA rolls out, it will simply take the place of DMA, but will have more providers supplying MA content.

That does not mean that the studios will all of a sudden take their previously released Ultraviolet content and convert people's UV libraries over to MA.
Signed up for MA today, and with the exception of the studios we knew were excluded going in (for now), all my UV titles ported to Amazon, iTunes and Google.

Connected those accounts again, movies don't show up. just the 5 freebies. Ugh....
I'm sure whatever issue Disney is having is affecting all retailers, but I can only speak for us when I say we're working hard to get the linking working this morning. Hang tight!

It looks like my Vudu movies ported to iTunes and Amazon, but none of my iTunes or Amazon movies ported to Vudu.

I'm glad it worked out for you.

Personally, I don't like anything about it. Tons of my movies didn't import over from Amazon, or Google, or UV.

                        No TV shows

Missing special features for some DMA movies.

I'll stick to using iTunes and Vudu for watching movies. There isn't anything at all compelling for me to use it. It's simply one more way to muddy the water more.

This endeavor is only a few hours old, give it some time to settle in. I think it's astounding and really cool that all of these titanic companies are all in sync and had everything ready to roll in such a short period of time. Has anything like that ever happened?

Nothing is perfect, but, let's give it a fair shake.

That would be great if I had been given a choice...but I wasn't.
I was forced to use Movies Anywhere because Disney Movies Anywhere no longer exists.

Nothing is forcing you to link to any other providers. In fact if you don’t, then MA functions exactly the same way that DMA does/did.

With DMA I could buy a Disney movie on Vudu/Amazon/iTunes and it would be available to play in Vudu, Amazon, iTunes, and DMA.

Now, if you don't link Vudu to your MA account you won't be able to buy Disney movies on Vudu and have them show up anywhere else.

Vudu was my preferred buying program for Disney movies, but iTunes was my preferred viewing method on the Apple TV, and the DMA app was my preferred method on the Fire TV and Roku
