    Cars 3 UHD Code

I was told by someone that the Cars 3 UHD code will only redeem an HD copy on VUDU. Is there a reason for this? Is there any way that this can be fixed? I already redeemed the points on Disney Movie Rewards and it is telling me the code is in fact from the UHD disc. I was hoping to get an update about a direct redemption on VUDU for the UHD rights. I want to be able to watch it in UHD without having to get the disc but I don't want to hang on to my code forever. Any insight?

Yes, when you buy the 4K UHD disc, the redemption code is for the HD version only. I called DMR at 866-246-8646 and they insisted that consumers should know that based on the packaging of the product. To make matters worse, Disney stamped 4K UltraHD all over the cardboard insert with the digital redemption code. The guy on the phone said that Digital on the package means HD only and somehow I should have known that. Pretty cheap on Disney's part if you ask me. It's a shame because you can't find this information out anywhere online, even on Disney's own website.

We need some more clarification here. People were saying that GotGv2 redeemed as UHD or DMA converted in from HD to UHD. The same from follow suit for Cars 3 UHD.

If Disney is truly only giving HD digital for UHD disc purchase I'll stop buying Disney UHD discs and go back to BD then.

I ran into this issue redeeming my movie
According to Disney since the concerted from Disney Movies Anywhere to Movies Anywhere they can not support UHD digital copies. So I'm really interested if someone was to redeem Guardians of the Galaxy 2 would they be stuck with HDX as well.

The switch to MA is what really messed everything up. It seems like Disney initially said the Guardians 2 codes would not redeem UHD on DMA, then after about a week, they DID redeem UHD on DMA. Pirates 5 redeemed UHD from day 1 on DMA.

However, once they switched redemptions from DMA to MA, that capability was lost. And now the logline that I received from MA is that Disney does not manufacture 4K UHD codes, which we know is completely inaccurate since (1) GotG2 and Pirates 5 WERE redeeming UHD and now aren't and (2) If you redeem your points on DMR, it gives you 200 for purchasing the UHD disc and states that it's UHD on DMR.

It's the inconsistency of the information and the lack of communication that really bugs me. There don't seem to be any real policies in place, just whatever happens to be working at the time. And then they end up backpedaling. If I'm remembering correctly, I don't think any of the UHD Disney codes redeemed UHD on VUDU directly - it had to port from DMA. So this might not even be a VUDU issue, but it's so difficult to tell who's responsible for what which is why I started this thread here trying to get some answers.
