    Music application?

While this is way down on my list of priorities but I'd love to see VuDu ink a deal with someone like Pandora to stream live music via the VuDu. Granted the interface (specifically the remote) doesn't lend itself to typing in artist names or thing like that, but it would be a great feature to have at least some type of internet radio or streaming service bundled with the VuDu somewhere down the road.

    Just something to think about.

Same thoughts as a lot of us. This has been requested so you are not alone in this!

Interesting thought... Never even crossed my mind but probably b/c I already have the Sonos system and it's everything I could ever want in a digital music device. Honestly... It supports Rhapsody, Napster, Pandora, Sirius, and just about any music file format on your network (except for WMA Lossless but who cares - there are other better lossless formats out there!)

So, I personally wouldn't use the music portion of the box (I don't think) but I do agree that it would probably garner more attention from the more casual "Best Buy" type consumer out there.

I'd personally rather see them exhaust the evolution of video first before changing gears.

Along the same line, while I wouldn't argue against having that capacity, I'd rather the device played my content off of the network first. As I've said before, even though that wouldn't directly generate revenue, if I was always coming home and starting up the VUDU first thing to play my own content, the fact that I had the UI up all the time might encourage me to purchase more content.

Oh man - if my ripped dvd's showed up in "my movies" I would be in absolute heaven. I'd probably sell my xbox . Then, if I could migrate them onto the vudu harddrive so I could take a few bought vudu movies on vacation with me as well as a few divx files.

Divx/xvid/vob support would be the first formats I would want support for over the network.

BINGO!!! Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' bout Willis.

I'm longing for the device that can replace my modded Xbox but do HD. Especially if it can also link into a HUGE database of rentable movies in addition to my ripped (and OWNED) library of DVDs. Now THAT would be the bomb.

              [Hijack Mode = on]

I heard that Gary Coleman couldn't sell his car on eBay for $25,000. No bidders AFAIK. He's hard up...
