My Rentals and My Wish List are now empty

For some reason My Rentals and My Wish List in the Vudu box are now empty. I asume that this was caused by the recent software update to 2.1.2. I also assume that if a title is removed from the catalog it is also removed from the Wish List, but I doubt that all the ones I picked were all removed from the catalog at the same time. I know it's a possibility. Are the lists cleared automatically after a certain time? Are the lists cleared after a power cycle? Has this happened to anyone else?

I've had my boxes for over a year and have never had that happen. I still have movies that I added in the beginning but haven't yet watched so there shouldn't be any automatic expiration either. I would say it is a bug. How many movies were there? Like you said, if they were removed from the catalog that could explain it but that seems unlikely.

Please post your system ID whenever you encounter something funny or a suspect "bug" and post it in the thread. You may also want to send a message to http://support.vudu.com/contact and report this (include your system ID of course).

Try rebooting. I've seen this occur during software updates. I assume it has to do something with xml meta data not being read properly from the database on the box after the upgrade. If reboot did not fix it, then either the titles you put on the wishlist aren't in the catalog or you have a bigger problem...

Ok, I rebooted the box again this morning and got the Wish List back, but not the Rentals list. The My Rentals only shows the movie I rented last night. I had last rebooted the box when 2.1.2 was pushed as the Vudu Labs option disappeared after the update. I guess it needed to be rebooted twice. The system ID of my box is 0xbbb0 ... nice number.

          Thanks

I don't think you have a problem. The "my rentals" content falls off after the extended rental window (about 1 week) has expired. Can you think of any movies you rented very recently that are "missing"?

Ok, I guess that answers the question. I had assumed that since I was able to see my previous rentals via the Vudu Web site that that info would also be available via the Vudu box. So, if this history is erased from the Vudu box after a week, I'm fine with it. Now, what I'd like to see is the capability to view and add/substract titles to/from the Wish List via the Web UI.

Actually after the "extended" rental period expires the movie should be removed from the "My Rentals" list. I am not sure of the exact time delay but it does behave this way on my VUDU's.
