I think that explains a lot more.

I suppose you wouldn't believe that I was joking too. I'm really homeless. I don't even have a Vudu. I just wander the streets with a laptop stealing people's wifi.

Re: Is VUDU LIVING UP to your EXPECTATIONS?

Well, after a long wait, I'm finally up and running. I got my box about a month and a half ago, and found that my router wasn't compatible, so I switched over to Verizon. (I had been thinking about switching before, so this issue caused me to pull the trigger.)
So far, I'm VERY pleased. I have a PJ showing on an 88" screen and the HD PQ is very impressive. The SD PQ is as good if not a little better than Dvd's, and I obviously don't have any of the problems that I've had with scratched discs from Netflix. We are also enjoying the flexibility that VUDU provides with movie choices in the event that we aren't in the mood for one of the 2 or 3 Netflix movies that are lying around.
Yes, like most everyone else, I want to see more HD content and more rentable movies, but I can be patient. VUDU is very young and they've made great strides in a very short time. (Remember how long it took for HD-DVD to come out with a "reasonable" number of movies?!!). VUDU is definitely headed in the right direction, and quickly. So two enthusiastic thumbs up from me.
Kudos should also go to VUDU tech support. When I was having the download issues(which turned out to be my router), the tech support (and forum support) people were bending over backwards to help out.

Re: Is VUDU LIVING UP to your EXPECTATIONS?

Very impressed with the VUDU box so far. But I was wondering, is there info on whether a title is in 5.1 or 2.0 audio? The one movie I rented so far, Babylon 5: The Lost tales, was only in 2.0. I'd like to test out one with 5.1 audio but I don't see that info in the descriptions. My box is still updating. This morning it was only up to Spiderman 3 for titles available so I guess it still has a ways to go until it's current.
Hopefully the free Bourne movies will be listed when I get home tonight. I would assume those are in 5.1.

Glad to hear that you are up and running. Yea I can't wait for my HD content also. Once you see 720p or higher it tough going to back to a 480i display....

When you click on the movie, it will say Stereo or Surround Sound. I believe Spiderman 3 is in surround.

When you're browsing movies and you press select on one of them you'll see the text Stereo or Surround Sound added under the movie description. I've already put in my vote for icons that always show up, so you don't have to click on each movie to see if it has 5.1 sound, or not.

                      EDIT: Darn, I'm too slow

I guess I need to look closer. I was really lookinig for an icon so that's probably why I missed it.

I see the surround and stereo listings now. It's definitely there but I was just looking for an icon.
I really like how each movie lists the director and several actors and gives you their birth year and other movies available that they are in. The interface is extremely fast. I really like it.

One question though, is there supposed to be any type of audio feedback while scrolling through the menus? I don't have any audio in the menus unless I look at a preview. I just want to make sure that is normal. I guess i'm just so used to the TiVo sounds when in the menus since I've been using them for over 6 years now.

Did I mention I really like this VUDU box?
This box will definitely become my first choice for most of my video rentals now, followed by Xbox Live and then Netflix.

There is no audio when moving through menus! Finally, a box that doesn't try to tell me what I am doing or when I do it!
