    Unbundling Folders / Bundles

It pains me to no end, Movie that are put into bundles cannot be pulled out of the bundle. I got all the indiana Jones movies and i keep my movies listed by year. So the Indiana Jones bundle is in 2010, despite a majority of the movies being from the 80's. On top of that, the Bundle and Save over the cover of the movie folder. Basically I hate this so much, i don't get any bundles.

However I came across Groundhog Day/ Stripes combo, Which was supposed to redeem separately via Sony, however the Sony site was down so i redeemed via Vudu and came in a combo pack. Of course Sony and the movie companies don't care and this.. and vudu says it's out of their control... so this is kind of a area of improvement i'd like to see. Give the user some options as to how the movies as displayed and organized.

    Thanks

I second the suggestion. I would love to be able to organize my movies on Vudu via bundling and unbundling.

I would like to see this feature as well. I never buy bundles because of this.

Actually, I'd like to see it go BOTH ways.

If you have movies that are part of a bundle or series, I'd kind of like some way of GROUPING THEM (like, not all the Nightmare on Elm Street series is named consistently, like FvJ, Freddy's Dead, Wes Craven's New Nightmare).

It would be nice if there was like a "Nightmare on Elm Street Series" Thumbnail in your library that would then take you to the entire series, or at least to those items you already own (or somehow denote owned vs. non-owned). BUT, I'd still also like the individual titles to be listed individually in whatever 'sorting' filters one has used, so sorted by date, or sorted alphabetically, etc.

And, it would be nice if items in bundles that have related singleton titles would treat it like you own the bundle AND all singleton versions of the bundle. So, I'd own BOTH the "bundle of comedies," and I'd "individually" own Airplane & Hot Shots which are both part of the bundle. One figures that would solve the problem, sort of? Or maybe an option to "suppress bundle" if bundle & individual titles overlap, or vice versa "suppress individual titles if bundle and titles overlap."

If that makes sense. I like the flexibility of somehow being able to have it BOTH ways... I could see the pros and cons of either way.

Yeah the addition of custom tagging would provide better search options for the users.

I also don't like how bundled movies do not show in the recently watched list.

Totally agree with this. Some of the bundles make sense, like the American Pie movies, The Die Hard collection and Kill Bill. Some of them I wish I could unbundle like Conan, Man on a Ledge and Brothers. Some of the bundles don't even have artwork, which really sucks. Picked up a 4 pack of laughs bundle and it listed that way not as the films included in the bundle. Kind of disappointed in this aspect of vudu/instawatch.

                  Re: Unbundling Folders / Bundles

I think the unbundling would fix the fact that they never show in the recently watched list.

Rewatching the Bourne bundle was annoying I had to g to Movies scroll down to the bundle and pick the movie I as watching before.

I like the bundling feature because of pricing and ease of use.
I don't like how it fits in my browsing of collection and watching needs.

i can help you with making movies not bundle in the first place. create a sub account and redeem all bundled uv movies in that account. when they crossover to your main account they will be individual movies. it does not help with bundling things you want bundled that are not already though

I don't want to manage another account.
I want them to evolve their software.

Just like I want them to know if I am at the credits ...the Play from beginning button should be enabled.

                          Re: Unbundling Folders / Bundles

We have been asking for this new functionality for years...the ability to organize our collection the way we want it. We have suggested a new tab called "My Collection" that would essentially allow us to create AND name bundles under that tab and allow us to sort those bundles in any order we wanted.

What we want is to have a way to create our own bundles (collections) and to group movies together however we want. For example, we want to create a "James Bond" bundle/collection and place all bond movies in that bundle, and another "Clint Eastwood" bundle and put all their Clint Eastwood movies in that bundle, then another called "Family Movies", and so on. We want to be able to sequence the movies within each bundle and we want to name the bundle. So after creating a bundle/collection we should be able to add new titles to it or remove titles from that bundle (removing a title from a bundle wouldn't delete it from our Vudu account if we own it) and within the bundle/collection arrange the titles in any sequence we want.

We would like to see a new tab added to "My Vudu" for "My Collections".

                          _My Movies_________My TV_________My Collections_________My Wishlist_

Under this new "My Collections" tab we should be able to see all the bundles we've created and we should be able to create new bundles. We should also be able to sort the bundles under the 'My Collections' tab. These bundles could contain individual movies or television shows, and not necessarily titles that we own yet. Oh, and allow us to select only the movie and not any of the featurettes or bonus features if we don't want those to show in our collection. Then when we are looking for a movie we could go to the new 'My Collections' tab, find the bundle we're looking for and click on it, then find the movie within the bundle and click on it to play (or to buy/rent if we don't own it).

I think that adding this functionality would GREATLY enhance the user's experience with Vudu.
