    Upgrade HDX to UHD!

I know this is a long shot - and I've posted this in one of the other forum posts - but now that Vudu is adding more UHD content for older movies like the original Spider-Man series, I'd love to see them upgrade our HDX content free of charge similar to what iTunes started doing last year. My biggest frustration is that I've always redeemed digital copies through Vudu instead of iTunes so I could watch my content on my Roku; I recently figured out that iTunes is only upgrading purchases made directly through (or redeemed through) iTunes, so I've got hardly any UHD content through them (fortunately I figured this out before forking out the dough for an Apple TV 4k). Anyway, Vudu - it's be amazing if you'd please please please auto-upgrade our HDX content to UHD for free!

Agree, this would be fantastic on Vudu's part. Even if there was some way other than buying the movie again for full price to upgrade the content, would be great.

For movies that are dual redeem it makes sense to redeem on iTunes for the free 4K upgrade as long as it is MA.

Right; I'm just thinking that up until Movies Anywhere came out (and if my movie only came with either a UV copy OR an iTunes copy), I had always chosen to redeem through Vudu so I'd have a wider choice of options of where I could watch my movie. If I'd known all those years ago how things would change, I probably wouldn't redeemed through iTunes instead.

If iTunes can do it, so can Vudu.

This is absolutely something that needs to be done by Vudu. It is ridiculous that it is not an option. I have no intention of paying full price to upgrade my HDX movies to UHD, so Vudu is going to lose that money from me. I would imagine that a lot of people feel this way.

I want to know why iTunes is able to provide free upgrades and Vudu can't? I doubt the studios had to give iTunes permission. I'm sure iTunes does it so they can try and get the most amount of streamers to use their platform. Vudu should offer this as a way to fight back in the streaming wars, or I see more people sticking with iTunes, no matter if the title is MA or not.

Bumping this to add another frustration. Now that some movies are being rereleased in 4k UHD (this week's example: the first two Avengers flicks), I'm super annoyed/frustrated that our previous HDX versions aren't auto-upgraded. In the case of Disney/Marvel flicks, I'm assuming that's something that'd have to be approved on the studio's end, but still, I think it's ridiculous that I previously purchased the highest-resolution version available, and now if I want it in 4k I have to pay another $25. Pretty bonkers...
