The D2D will be exclusive to Walmart until Aug 31.

The process is very easy and fast if your printed list matches your online list.

I have added 80 movies in 3 trips and it only takes a mouse click to add your movies to your uv account.

However it would save everyone a lot of time if Vudu would inform people
when a movie that is only available in SD becomes available in HDX like
Spiderman just did or when any movies get added to D2D.

How did you find out that the D2D is exclusive till Aug. 31st? I wonder if that is in store only or if the Disc to Digital Samsung players will be affected by this date as well. You make a good point about being notified of when a title goes HDX. I will add it to my Wishlist request post.

I think UV or DECE mentioned that at some point in outlook for whole year. I didn't remember the exact date though. I think it does include the Samsung players. After all, they've been out for a while and D2D for them are disabled until sometime later this year (when Flixster is ready to support it). Looks like Sept 1st may be launch date for that.

I read it on the Walmart instruction sheet the associate was using to do the D2D.

So, what does that mean exactly? Other than Samsung 2012 BD players who else will be doing D2D?

Besides the Flixster-based D2D solution that will be doable from certain BD players (including the Samsung ones) and PCs, no other D2D solution has been announced at this point. But I think they said they would try to work out deals with other retailers (Best Buy/CinemaNow being a prime candidate since Best Buy is a member of DECE).

Yeah, come on Home Depot, 7-Eleven and Wawa. Soon, they'll be a guy on the corner with his trunk open saying "Psssst, hey buddy - got a deal for ya. Convert your movies to Ultraviolet. Yo, I also got UV downloads for a buck!"

I have had the EXACT experience in Virginia. The employees have not been trained and put it off on someone who is never there. Complaints to management get a we will call you response and I have never had contact from one person. Stopped in a 5th time today and they still have no clue. Way to go Wal Mart. You are about to loose all of my business because you are putting the bottom line in front of customer service. Long lines, untrained and rude employees. Guarantee yourself loss of market share. Ill go buy my freedom fries from your french competitor target.

I am glad to see that I was not the only one who was having problems. I did FINALLY find a Wal*Mart out here that was able to complete the process. It is REALLY simple if you preload your list in vudu.com. I hope everyone finds a place to get the process done as once you do you will LOVE having all your movies in the cloud. I've converted 186 movies so far and am waiting for the other studios to get on board so I can finish my collection.

The commonwealth is big, and your mileage may vary, but I've had luck at the King's Crossing Wal-Mart in Alexandria. Took in a test batch, then a larger stack. Had a different person both times, and it seemed like I was each one's first time. Both had close at hand the white manual discussed earlier in the thread. No issues. Took about 10-15 minutes each trip.
