Digital Copy to UltraViolet?

    Digital Copy to UltraViolet?

Before UV was formed many movie companies offered a Digital Copy of their own like Paramount and Warner Brothers. Will existing digital copies be made available to UltraViolet? Since I already have Transformers Dark of the Moon as a Digital Copy before it was made available to UV any chance it can be added to my account?

I was hoping that also. When Flixter collections (Warner Bros) was introduced they said they were working on making existing digital copies into ultraviolet but that has not happened to date. I have several window media video copies that it would be nice to convert to ultraviolet for free but I am sure the studios want to make more money off us.

I don't know about all other movies but I know Transformers Dark of the Moon specifically I went to http://www.paramountmovies.com/tf3.html and entered my Digital Copy code (that I already redeemed on iTunes) and it worked gave me a UltraViolet copy...

        Re: Digital Copy to UltraViolet?

I honestly think this is not a realistic possibility. Reason being, you would essentially own 2 digital copies of the same movie from different sources. That would loosely be like having 2 copies of a disk version of the movie for the price of one. The reason Disk To Digital works is because you are paying a fee to get another copy of the movie. It would be EXTREMELY difficult to convince a company you didn't simply pirate the movie. If your meaning moving the purchased movie info from one account to another on a different company, then that would be a little more feasible, but still unlikely unless previous arrangements from the studio were made first or the opposing company went under and had to move their clients to, in this case, VUDU/Ultraviolet.
