Should be HDX but it's only SD

"A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas" finally showed up for me under "My Movies". I have the 3D blu-ray movie which included UV. The only problem is it's only watchable in SD instead of HDX. Again, I bought the blu-ray movie which included UV. It shows I can rent and buy HDX so you guys obviously have it in HDX so why am I stuck with SD?

It's a Warner Bros thing, not Vudu. Warner only allows their UV codes to transfer over as SD. Universal is the same. Paramount and Sony tend to give HDX copies.

Check this thread I started too: http://forum.vudu.com/showthread.php?t=151561

I would say we all need to complain to Warner/Universal but I don't know if it would do any good.

After several emails to Sony (consumer@sphecustomersupport.sony.com) to try to get the correct copy of Underworld added to my UV account it didn't do any good.

I purchased Underworld Trilogy (Underworld (unrated), Underworld: Evolution and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) (+UltraViolet Digital Copy) [Blu-ray] and redeemed the digital code on 5-5-12 at https://ultraviolet.sonypictures.com/underworldtrilogy
Sony added Ultraviolet copies to my ultraviolet account at http://www.uvvu.com/.and at http://ultraviolet.sonypictures.com

The correct copy (134 min) was added to the sony account however the wrong copy of Underworld (122 min) was added to my uv account.

The underworld (unrated) 134 min 2003 (http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...rworld-Unrated) should have been added instead of Underworld 2003/ R/ 122 min. (http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content/37518/) which unfortunately is only available in a SD version on Vudu.I only want the UV Vudu HDX version and no SD versions of UV.

In the future I will not purchase any Blu-ray without knowing what digital copy I will receive in my uv account.Hopefully the studios will get a clue and start giving the HD versions with new Blu-ray purchases.

The really sad thing about this is that the Underworld they gave us is now available in HDX, but we still didn't even get that one in HDX so I would have 2 pay $2 to D2D it to HDX.

Had an issue with "Angels & Demons" digital copy. SPHE tiles have an expiration date in the fine print. I had purchased titles thinking I could add the digital copy later to whatever service I decided to use. When I did try to add it the digital copy code was not accepted. The SPHE view was sorry for your luck. I went as far as filing a consumer complaint with the Ohio AG for consumer fraud. SPHE didn't admit expiration dates in the fine print was misleading to consumers but offered to give me a new digital copy code. By that time I had already added the HDX title to DTD. I told them to keep their code. Buyer beware when it comes to digital copies packaged with Movies.

Yes, that has happened to me also in the past. If you don't buy the movie soon after release and it offers a digital copy, you may have to use the code pretty fast or it will expire. One movie that comes to mind is "Ghost" because by the time I bought it in blu-ray, the code had expired for the digital copy.

I just noticed this as well. I also bought the trilogy and redeemed immediately but my Underworld is only SD but the other two are HDX. This is really annoying.

If anyone had Underworld: Trilogy from before the first movie in UV went HDX, I have good news. I logged in today to find that instead of my UV copy mapping to the theatrical version, its now mapped to the unrated one. And it looks like while they swapped editions, it reimported the quality to get from UV, because now I have an HDX copy without paying to upgrade or D2Ding it.

I don't expect this to happen much, but it's nice that it did.

Yes this is good news and I now have the correct digital copy of Underworld (unrated) in my uv and Vudu accounts however this has taken almost a month to accomplish since my first email (and I'm sure many other peoples emails) to Sony but they have finally done the right thing.
