Just noticed that an updated version was completed today (with 2.35:1 OAR and DD+ 5.1). Should be out sometime this afternoon.

Yeah, now it's widescreen but apparently the audio was provided in stereo (the previous one was 5.1, though, I checked)... sigh. I reported this...

Ironically, turns out it won't make all that much of a difference if re-encoded with 5.1, as Zemekis didn't really use the surround channels by intent (not sure why, some artistic thing I guess...) Apparently a bunch of people on the AVS forums who get the DVD/BD complain their surround is broken until someone points this out http://www.avsforum.com/t/50013/no-s...n-forrest-gump

You might get faster service if you call them. I've been pleased with their support by phone.

I just sent an email to Vudu support asking for a 5.00 credit ASAP! This issue will be resolved for me once the credit is applied to my account. I've been very patient about this issue. I'm done. I want my money back. I own around 200 movies through Vudu's service. I think they can reimburse me the 5.00.
