Re: Current UV Copies what format SD or HD

I wish they would retroactively activate older codes to be compatible with HDX if they came from Blu Rays, but Universal and Warner don't seem to want to do that. I'm curious about that Harry Potter Wizarding collection. Did anyone ever find out if the codes give HDX? I'm not willing to shill out the $ even if it does (only the last one is not available through D2D) but it'd be interesting to know.

Just a reminder for everyone after you get your movie code redeemed on uv and shows up on your Vudu account to go to the iTunes Store and redeem it there to. Universal, Lionsgate, and Paramount participate in using the codes on the iTunes Store.

              Safe via VUDU = HDX
Snow White via Universal (I did not select VUDU) = HDX

I didn't buy it but the Katy Perry movie says on the back that the UV copy is in HD. That is good news as it is Paramount and they appeared to stop offering HD UV with Blu-ray.

Re: Current UV Copies what format SD or HD

I've always had more luck getting my formats changed when redeeming through the studio. Every time I try to get it fixed through vudu I have to send pictures which is a pain for me. If you have the code and UPC what else do you need? If it comes from a blu-ray then it should be HDX and if it comes from a DVD then it should be SD. If that can't happen, then before the code is redeemed you should find out what it is.

I just bought Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures on Bluray and it doesn't include any UV or digital copies in case anyone is wondering. Indiana Jones is available on Vudu in HDX as the whole set only.

I think it depends. Big Bang Theory seasons and Boardwalk Empire seasons all redeemed HDX for me. The Batman animated all come up SD (they are all DVDs and not available on blu ray). I've heard True Blood also redeems as HDX.

I have trueblood seasons 1 - 4 all through vudu in hdx.
I have the strike back in hdx
big bang theory seasons 1 2 5 in hdx

I have falling skies on flixster - sd
rizzoli and isis on flixster - sd

I don't know what would happen if you redeemed on flixster first. But since they are only in sd I always chose to go to vudu first.
