Re: Current UV Copies what format SD or HD

I just consolidated this entire thread into a google spreadsheet. If anyone would like to be a collaborator PM me to be added. Otherwise I'll update it as more people post or I redeem. I dont want to make this publicly editable because one of the UV haters may ruin it.

Anyway enjoy and provide healthy feedback

There answer - not only movies are in HD

I really don't think any of the people working on this are paying attention to the real problem. The fact that people are paying 24 and 34 dollars + for blu-ray copies of movies and getting random sd versions back is going to be a big reason to not go with ultraviolet. They atleast could say we'll look into it and not come back with that kind of irresponsible comment.

Atleast Vudu knows there is a problem and are talking to the companies about it.

Re: Current UV Copies what format SD or HD

It just meant that they give both sd and hd and couldn't tell me why that someone bought a blu-ray and got HD and I got SD even though I bought a blu-ray so you could get either one.

Nice idea but you need to include HDX, that's part of the issue with certain movies only giving HD but not HDX. Your spreadsheet should identify HDX.

Re: Current UV Copies what format SD or HD

I have not seen/read anything about any movie being redeemed as HD opposed to HDX. The large problem is SD vs HD. I think knowing whether a movie is an HD copy is more important than HD vs HDX. If this is a common occurrence then in the future i may change it but its not worth the time for now.

For now assume all on the list is HDX since i never read anyone saying specifically a movie redeemed in HD. If it matters, i redeemed 15+ movies and they all came HDX.

I redeemed American Reunion on Vudu and got HD not HDX. I am thinking about asking Universal for a new code and redeem it through Universal to get HDX.

Your list has a few errors btw. HD vs HDX is a huge difference and some movies grant HD via Vudu and HDX via the respective studio redemption site. One example is Safe House from Universal Studios.

That new batman animated movie redeemed hdx for me. The new RE redeemed sd.

I redeemed American Reunion a while back on Vudu and I got HD. Today I noticed while over at a family members house that it is linked the same Ultra-Violet account that their copy of American Reunion was showing up in HDX. I then checked my account and it is still showing HD. This is weird.
