Are new releases still being added?

I was curious if any of the recent new releases are on the D2D program. So I checked Safe House, Journey2, The Grey, Contraband, and The Woman in Black. Now all of these movies are UV, but none are D2D. So I'm just wondering why this is the case?

I was thinking about picking up the new Sherlock Holmes next week, but I know the UV copy it comes with will be SD, so I wouldn't mind paying the extra $2 to get the HDX copy. But I have a feeling it won't be D2D either. Disappointing.

When D2D started all the new Ultraviolet releases were available for D2D then I have noticed recently that none are. I think the studios have caught on and must be doing some kind of D2D release delay but have heard no details about it.

They finally got around to adding Deathly Hallows part 1. Still no part 2. I'm hoping once D2D is available by other means (Samsung players, Amazon) that they will pick up the pace a bit. If Amazon allows linking of UV accounts when they start selling UV movies like they announced a while back I think it may kill Vudu, or at least the d2d side of it.

I only used D2D for the older movies I have in my collection that will be viewed more than once....Any new titles I go strictly digital, if the price is right....Since now I can download films to my device, no need to have a disc as the copy in the cloud is my backup.... Further, if UV progresses to the point of allowing files to be copied onto SD cards, USB sticks, hard drives, etc.....I will load them on my NAS media server and all really WILL be good....

The file sizes of the downloads are not that bad, with the biggest one I have being less than 12GB, a lot less than the typical Blu-Ray mkv rip....I have 6TB of storage on the NAS with an additional 1TB on my WD Live Hub, more than enough to store my films locally....So I will see how UV progresses, because IMO the Hub is one of the best set top boxes around for what it does......

Don't quote me on this, but isn't D2D a Walmart exclusive? Already there are other outlets selling digital versions of films......Paramount and Sony's websites sell some of their UV movies, and there are others....UV worked as it was supposed to, Trying it out I bought an HD copy of Transformers: Dark of the Moon on the Paramount website, it showed up in "my VUDU" on my device, then I downloaded it to my WD......

I don't know if will kill VUDU, they have been around the digital movie space for a long time, and with Walmart as their backer, that is an 800 lb. gorilla even though Amazon is no slouch.....Also VUDU has been more creative and innovative than any one else so far....

Yeah the fact the the WD TV Hub has been updated so one can download Vudu movies to the 1 TB hard drive makes it pretty compelling. If it only came with a 2 or 3 TB hard drive...

Nope. It's only Walmart exclusive for now. Someone in another thread said until the end of August. My Samsung BD player offers it, but it's not live yet. Amazon has already said they will sell UV movies eventually which means they will have to link UV accounts. It's mainly just a matter of are they going to be like VUDU and link all UV movies to their site, or like Paramount/Flixster/Sony and only link specific companies.

I will always stand by my belief that Walmart was the worst possible company they could have partnered with at the beginning (I know, VUDU is owned by Walmart). Places like Best Buy or Target would have made more sense. My Wal Mart barely even has a movie section and it's mostly DVD. I think D2D would have been a bigger success if would have been through Amazon's video service with a different company doing the physical part.
