Warner (& Universal?) packaged Blu-ray UV copies now showing in HDX!

As I have posted in previous threads only Sony and Paramount Blu-ray packaged Ultraviolet copies have been showing up on Vudu in HDX with Warner and Universal coming across in SD. I verified this as of last week as my Blu-ray UV code of Journey 2 came across as SD in Vudu. However this week Sherlock Holmes 2 has been coming across to Vudu in HDX for everyone but madmod20061 who apparently registered it early in the week. He made another dummy account today apparently and registered an extra code he has for the movie and it came across in HDX this time. More info in this thread: http://forum.vudu.com/showthread.php?t=216691

The question is did Warner/Vudu flip a switch this week to allow this or is it another glitch? The back of the Sherlock Holmes combo packs still state that the UV copy is in SD (everyone I know of who had received the HDX copy got the single disc Blu-ray). I am interested in knowing if anyone else registers a different Warner UV title if it will come across in HDX as well. I hope this is a permanent change and if so hope there comes a way to convert previously purchased Blu-ray Warner SD Vudu titles to HDX.

Curiously a friend of mine recently converted "The Grey" which is a Universal title and it came across in his Vudu account in HDX. Therefore I wonder if all Universal titles also are now registering in HDX.

The code I used in my dummy account was from the 2 disc blockbuster steelbook version. The previous code (SD) was given to me, so I don't know which version it was from.

Could it have been from the DVD?

This is definitely good news if true. It made absolutely no sense do buy a blu ray and be stuck with a SD copy of the film on vudu.

I went ahead and ordered Sherlock from amazon for 12.99.

I don't think Warner offers UV codes on DVD. I've only ever seen warner offer codes on the Blu Ray or Combo packs. Universal does both BR and DVD. I have some more codes to redeem this week. Wanderlust (universal) and Project X (Warner) so I will post what the results of those were on Tuesday.

A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas is still showing as SD for me, even though they have it in HDX. So not all Warner movies.

If they changed it, it'll only affect new UV movies on your account from UV codes the first time they are imported into Vudu. Existing moves will have to HDX upgraded to via D2D unless Vudu or Flixster come up with cheap upgrade option soon.

Well, here's an update. Project X (Warner) came out as SD for me. Wanderlust (Universal) came out HDX! On another note the last 2 Paramount releases I have are not UV on Vudu for some reason (Jeff Who Lives at Home and Devil Inside). I guess the code works for Vudu also (I no longer have my Devil Inside code, but Jeff did work on both sites), it's just not UV on Vudu, so you have to redeem it twice and are now SD only. So, I guess Paramount is downgrading, Universal is upgrading and Warner is a wild card?

Thanks for the update. On Paramount's website does it say SD purchase?

Yep. So does Devil Inside. All the prior movies show in my paramount library as HD. Those are the only 2 that don't and they are the 2 newest movies I have from them. Also, disc 2 digital purchases don't show under my paramount libary. Only under my "Other UV movies" tab. Even the paramount UV movies. The only movies that show in the paramount library are redeemed codes.

Man that is messed up. I assume the packaging now says SD too.

May be a stupid question but these were codes from Blu-rays you purchased correct?

Yep. I'm not sure if paramount gives codes on DVDs. I could be wrong though.
Devil inside was given to me by a friend. He bought the bd.
