D2D offered movies in Bluray come up in SD

Is there a reason why when looking for some movies in D2D the Bluray option is given but the actual format received is different?

For instance. I added Tears of the Sun which the Blu ray option appears but I was given the SD version.

Same thing with the Green Hornet in 3D. The 3D option shows up and select but what I actually received was the the regular HDX version.

HDX is only offered if its offered on vudu. Some movies are on blu ray but not hd on vudu. D2d does not offer 3d movies. The 3d edition is listed but you can only get SD or HDX.

        1. What I am getting at is if they are not offering hd/hdx version then the bluray. Option shouldn't show up for d2d as normally is the case
        2. I've gotten 3d movies before in d2d

Well, they've had Blu Rays listed in SD since the beginning. You are the first I've ever heard as getting a 3d movie via d2d. Which movies because I don't see any listed as UV compatible?

I think underworld is the only D2D that gives 3d but do not know for sure if that is the only one

I'm not talking about blurays listed as SD. I am talking about a movie being listed as regular SD and as a bluesy option which would lead u to believe there is an HD version available ....for instance the movie tears of the sun...but DVD and bluray are listed in d2d but no matter what only SD version is available...

As far as the 3d movies available I noticed that alot of them are listed but only a few r actually 3d... for ex. Underworld 3D which is the one I have

Underworld Awakening 3D is not a UV title. It's just HDX if you did disc to digital. And, yes, that's what I meant too about Blu Rays being listed SD. There have always been titles where the Blu Ray listed only has an SD version available (Sky Captain, Resident Evil, Ghostbusters, etc...). I suppose some people may D2D those titles to get a portable copy of the movie. They've never been HD on VUDU though. If you wanted those copies but only had a Blu Ray and not a DVD then you'd be out of luck if the Blu Ray wasn't listed.
