    Movies Not Showing Up

So, I just converted 20-something movies at my local Walmart here in Monterey (Marina), CA ... and none of them are showing up in my VUDU or UltraViolet account.

How long did this take for everyone? Did they botch the job somehow?? No one at the store had done this before and it took about two days for them to figure it out and return all of my DVDs to me.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Very respectfully,
    Luke

My movies are in my vudu account by the time I get home. I think they may have made a mistake.

They should show up almost instantly. Did you get a receipt in the store? If so, check to make sure your vudu e-mail address was spelled correctly. You should then call support and tell them you haven't received your movies. Please post what happens.

They still haven't showed up... I sent in an official support request on July 2nd, to which I provided the list of movies converted and the official store receipt. Still no response (except the 1st one requesting the receipt) or resolution since I provided the requested data. They only stated they'd have to "pass it up to the engineers."

We'll see... Color me unimpressed so-far.

I am sure they will fix it, but it can take some time.

Sorry for the problems you're having. I would also be unimpressed if I were you. They are pretty slow in providing resolutions to problems. I had a movie that had audio problems when watching in HDX (the version I purchased) and I'm still waiting for a resolution after 2 months and don't know if it's fixed or whether it will ever be fixed? I'm hoping someone contacts me when it's corrected but that probably won't happen?

              Hi Lu ...

I'm not sure if you know this or not but when you purchase a movie in HDX you can switch to the SD or HD version of the movie. At least when viewing the movie on Vudu purchased in HDX you have the option to view the movie in HDX/HD/SD. The audio may work in the other version's. I've had a few movies where I've had to switch to SD to hear the movie in 5.1 surround and with my copy of Pirates of the Carabbean Dead Man's Chest I have to switch to the SD version to hear the audio in Dolby Digital Plus.

I have Sony Blu Ray players. There are colored buttons on my remote yellow, blue, red and green. The yellow button pulls up the Vudu display after I've started the movie which has the movie chapters option, pause, ff, rw and on the left side of the Vudu on screen display an HDX tab. I just arrow over to the HDX tab and press OK on my blu ray remote and the HD/SD tabs open for selection. Not sure how all this works on other devices although.

Anyway, maybe the audio is present in the SD/HD version of your movie and at least you'll be able to view and hear the movie until the issue with the HDX version is resolved.

                Parobek ...

Another Vudu member had issues with D2D movie purchase at their Wal-Mart. You need to take your receipt back to Wal-Mart. If you get a Wal-Mart associate who doesn't know what to do, please ask for a manager, store manager or photo dept manager. I agree with Echo, they probably put your email address in wrong. Wal-Mart will refund your money with the receipt. 20 movies is a lot money to spend and not get your merchandise. Don't let this go. Is what one of the other Vudu forum members had to do when had an issue with their D2D purchase. Took receipt back to the store and Wal-Mart refunded the money and completed the transaction over again.

Thanks Sandra, I knew that. In fact I had to watch the rest of "Peaceful Warrior" in HD instead of HDX because the audio works fine all the way through in HD.

                    Re: Movies Not Showing Up

That happened to me when I first used the Wal-Mart disk-to-digital program. I've now converted dozens of films, as I figured out what happened when I got home.

When you went into the store, did they have you fill in a form? Try to remember what contact info you put on that form. Which phone number? Name? Email address? If the person in the store used one of those pieces of info to bring up a Vudu/UltraViolet account, it could easily have pulled the wrong account. This happened to me; I thought I was having movies uploaded to my parents' account, but because I put my cell phone number on that sheet, they ended up in my account, instead.

So, as a hint, you may want to check around other accounts that may be somehow tied to you or members of your family. You movies may indeed be out there.

                    Good luck!
