Universal Reactivating Expired Digital Copy Codes

One reason I prefer UV over Digital Copy is DC usually has a expiration date. I missed the deadlines for movies 'The Adjustment Bureau' and 'Your Highness' so I emailed Universal 6 months ago to complain. This week I got 2 emails stating Universal has reactivated those titles. I redeem my expired codes at http://www.universalhidef.com/digitalcopy/ and select Vudu option and I get both in my uvvu.com and flixster accounts. However, they are only SD versions.

At least you have the HDX version. I have Fast Five from digital copy code in Vudu but it is only SD quality.

I redeemed my digital copy of Fast Five on the iTunes Store on June 6th and then went to Walmart for the disc to digital so I would have it in HDX on Vudu instead of SD.

Re: Universal Reactivating Expired Digital Copy Codes

I tried my unused expired non UV Digital Copy code of 'Paul' on Vudu and it work. Got SD copy.

Tried my used expired code for 'Wanted' and did not work on Vudu. Emailed Universal Support and they sent a new code for 'Wanted' and I got SD UV copy redeeming thru Universal.

Those are Warner titles. The Dark Knight has UV code and redeem page on Vudu and Flixster but I don't see a UV redeem page for Ninja Assassin on Vudu or Flixster? Are you saying the expired digital copy code for iTunes and Windows Media now works?

Correct. They gave me new codes for itunes, just letting people know that these digital copy codes are being activated as well.

Re: Universal Reactivating Expired Digital Copy Codes

Here's something interesting. I tried my old Back To The Future code from the blu ray trilogy on universals website. It said the code is redeemed already (I redeemed it on iTunes before uv was released over a year ago). I guess that means the old iTunes codes will also work. I emailed my old code to universal support and they provided me with a new code that I was able to use for vudu. SD only, but the best solution for now until they hopefully add it to d2d.

                      I've tried
                      1. devil
                      2. the dilemma
                      3. little fockers
                      4. sanctum

are they reissuing codes or just reactivating certain movies.

on another point. I tried to redeem the eye on lionsgate site about 3 weeks ago and it would not work. I contacted them and told them they were selling these in a walmart promotion in which they were doing and that the code was not working. I tried again and now the same code is working only for itunes thou.

Trying it now. Sent in my Back to the Future Trilogy codes, my Paul code, and my Bridesmaids code. I would really enjoy Vudu copies of these films. Am I supposed to get some sort of confirmation e-mail that they received my support request?

I got 2 emails from them. The first was asking for more details and the second was with the new code. If you want HDX copies of Paul and Bridesmaids you can disc 2 digital them. The code you redeem through universal is almost certain to be SD. They seem to only give HDX on new releases.

Turns out Back to the Future Trilogy didn't work. However, they did send me codes for Paul and Bridesmaids. Much thanks to the Universal Digital Copy team.

I like the way Warner does it. Send them an email through their support site with the expired code and they automatically give you a new code right then an their. I only had 2 movies my codes expired on (Wonder Woman and Terminator Salvation), but I was able to get my itunes copies to work through their help site. I also have the Batman collection, but I tossed the code after I saw it expired.
