Not all movies are available in D2D nor Ultraviolet.

So, if you intend to have cross-service continuity check for the UV logo before purchasing. All D2D titles are UV, though Vudu is the only service where all my UV titles are available, to date.

        Maybe I said it wrong...

VUDU for example has Chronicle available to OWN for $22.95 in HDX (And of course you can rent it). However I own Chronicle on Bluray but VUDU doesn't allow me to DIsc to Digital this movie and I am not sure I understand why.

Why can I own it if I buy from VUDU but I can't use my Bluray cop that I own and add it to my collection by Disc to digital...

          It's because of licensing agreements.

Again, short answer is still the same "Not all movies are available in D2D nor Ultraviolet." Your question has probably been asked many many times on this forum and as users and fans of D2D we don't really know except due to "licensing agreements" as jeffpn stated above.

Everyone here has a list of titles they want in D2D - just look at some I want in my signature line.

What's the hold up to these agreements, both parties make money just as with Bluray and Movie stop. In this case no need to put a movie on bluray disk, no money towards the case and shipping and so on... If movies can be sold at Walmart and profit so can selling them in digital format online. In all honesty I would think more money is to be made selling online for many reasons.

I would think those movie studios would be all over this if not for the simple fact if I don't want a movie anymore I can't take it to movie stop that then allows someone else to buy it cheap and avoids buying a new copy. I think it would be wiser to try and phase out all media put on discs and goto digital. You will have hackers either way but...

I'm sure the studios will all reconsider after reading your post. I'm sure it's as simple as you've stated it.

I'm sure it's about money... 99.9% of things getting done or not getting done in this Big Business world is all about money.

However customers should not sit by quietly in hopes something gets done but rather be a squeeky wheel. If Vudu gets enough demand for something or it can show those involved in getting the deals done that people want this or that the big shots making the call will see dollar signs and do something. If there doesn't appear to be a care in the world why should they do anything?

Just because there has been a post about something before doesn't mean everyone else should not speak up! In this case I say keep on asking!

I'm all for speaking up. I've gotten changes to products because of my own suggestions. I love companies who listen to customers.

My point is when customers tell companies if they implement their idea, they'll make more money. Like companies need to be told by customers what is in the company's best interest. I think it's pretty vain for any customer to think that he holds the key to the company's financial success. I see that in different areas quite often. Not just here at Vudu. State your ideas. Give your suggestions. But don't insult the company by telling them what they need to do to make more profit.

I'm not sure I was really telling them how to make more profit rather breaking down profit can be made? I see how I also did as you say but not really an attack at them, just an arguement on feeling of letdown I am not getting my way at VUDU when they are in the business to make money but also be fair and understanding that they need to understand VUDU needs to be appealing for everyone to help the company grow but more so I was looking for the flipside argument of how can it be more profitable to keep things the way they are when VUDU is in the business of Digital movies and not hard copies. I'm not sure VUDU really cares as much as I would like to think they do. I say this because when I called about a 3D movie, my response was along the lines of; it's not a great demand right now. So because the tech is new, VUDU does nothing instead of making the service greater and more enticing for people to join? One of the reasons I don't buy more movies here is because I want 3D but I also want the same movie in 2D like Bluray offers. If Vudu opened that door I would buy all the movies I wanted in 3D but for now I don't buy any movie that is in 2D but is also offered in 3D until this happens.
