One question I have with this is, is this "Rental Expired" message affecting them showing up on your playable device?

I have my UVVU account linked in my CN account but when I log on my Sony Blu-ray player and go to my library none of the movies show up?

Re: CinemaNow & Ultraviolet Link - When?

The whole thing reminds me of Flixster - FUBAR - all the movies that I own in CN, except for one are UV compliant. One that I purchased today shows up in CN & UV, not in VUDU. One that I purchased today shows up in CN and no where else. The others, purchased over the last year....show up in CN, and no where else. One that I purchased last year has totally disappeared from the CN locker.

Spoke to a CN support person please see the interesting ticket that was generated from that conversation below. All in all, not going well.....bodes rather ominously for CN. We shall see.....I only own 12 (counting the missing movie 13) in CN, put all of my proverbial eggs in the VUDU basket early on. VUDU may have their issues from time to time, but nothing like this.

    Ticket that was submitted:

    "Issue Description:
and i dont have them now I dont have my movies nowhere including horrible bosses, and my previous movies arent there but inception is the only one showing up in my ultraviolet account."

Just makes on feel all warm & fuzzy about the service, NOT!!!

Same here. i contacted them by chat and they forwarded it to tech support. Their CS has nothing on Vudu. my account stopped allowing me to purchase. their wonderful help was "try again later". Plus, I still can not see my UV library through them. It popped up once today on my PS3 and then crashed the PS3 which restarted itself. Definitely sticking with Vudu as my main UV viewer.

After purchasing them the UV logo disappered from the rest... so I logged out and looked at them again... and its still there just not when I am looking at my library... I filed a ticket but I think what they are going to tell me is that only the SD versions of those 7 movies are UV.... at which point I am going to be very very unhappy.

Apparently they are having some kind of unadvertised Black Friday sale. I just got Scott Pilgrim and Devil Wears Prada HD for $6.99 each. Going to look around some more. They were $14 and $18 yesterday. It says Black Friday Sale when you click on them.

Others I found: Alien Vs Predator, Juno, Jumper, Field Of Dreams, Jaws, It's A Wonderful Life.

    ParaNorman
    Terminator Salvation
    Cats and Dogs 2
    Caddyshack
    Yes Man
    Inception
    Where the wild things are

All came through to Vudu in HDX except Caddyshack which did not come through at all.

I'll give it a day and if it doesn't file a case.

As of yet nothing from my UV locker has my it to CN but its only been 2 hours or so

Re: CinemaNow & Ultraviolet Link - When?

I bought a movie myself from CN earlier to test it. Showed up in HD in UVVU right away. But after a couple hours of no sign on Flixster or Vudu, I went to Thanksgiving dinner festivities and more hours passed. When I came home and it was on both.

Got a very helpful too late response from CN telling me to clear my browser cache and try again. But then I took the opportunity to mention some of my movies that weren't showing up that should and asked them about the status of fixing SD-only UV imports and "Rental Expired". We'll see what they say about those.

Re: CinemaNow & Ultraviolet Link - When?

I've bought a few movies with my ebay credit. So far I have run in to 2 problems besides my UV library not showing through Cinemanow.
First was A Cry In The Dark HD transfering to UVVU as SD (Still no response from CS, but it's Thanksgiving, so no shock there).
Second was Caddyshack. It was a cheap HD movie and kind of an impulse buy, but it only shows in UVVU, not Vudu for some reason.

    The Campaign -$12.95
    Inception - $5.95
    The Matrix - $10.95

    Here's other HD on sale:

I guess the good thing is that we could still go over to CN and buy them and have them link back to our Vudu through our UVVU locker, but I've been seeing the Flixster name pop up in connection with CN and if that's the case I wont touch CN with a 10 foot pole.

Thanks for that link, those are some good purchase prices for sure from CN.
If there is a movie though I want I think D2D is still going to be the cheaper route for me (if) it's available that way vs. buying it.

If I didn't already have most of those HD movies they have on sale from d2d I would be all over that sale. I bought another set of codes from ebay to help fill in some of the gaps in my UV library. Nice to have another source.
Yeah it is weird. I am staying with Vudu as well. I do agree with you about the prices. I am sure Vudu will step up and go toe to toe with them and hopefully they will price match as well.

I still do not understand why the movie I purchased on CN is not showing up in Vudu. :confused Maybe I will try another movie.
