Same problem. I noticed an Aliens (extended) entry on the site though. Is this going to be fixed?

It appears that the Aliens Extended edition is no longer UV compatible and is no longer in my account? My account history shows it, but now they want me to buy it. Any ideas what is going on?

Cancel that...it appears now that it is back...?

        Re: Alien films D2D problem...

Tried to d2d the DVD again & the same problematic version popped up in Vudu To Go. Just asking if this will be fixed since it has been a while, if not, I'll go ahead & purchase the theatrical or "extended" version. I guess I'll try a support ticket if I don't hear anything on here.

Aliens (Special Edition) through D2D is still missing the last two minutes. This needs be fixed. Vudu sales a version titled 'Aliens (Extended)' http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...liens-Extended. The graphic used for this version says 'Aliens - Special Edition,' so this is most likely the same version of the movie. If this is a corrected version of Aliens (Special Edition), then those who purchased Aliens (Special Edition) via D2D should be credited with this corrected version of the film. Either correct the 'Aliens (Special Edition)' or credit us with 'Aliens (Extended).'

            Re: Alien films D2D problem...

Yea, there are three versions of Aliens on Vudu:

            Aliens 138 mins: http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...ens-Theatrical

            Aliens (Extended) 155 mins: http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...liens-Extended

Aliens (Special Edition) 152 mins: http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...pecial-Edition

I had the 155 min version in my library from in-store D2D and a few weeks back it was converted to the 152 min version with new (better) art work. But I obviously want the 155 version back. There is no such thing as "Aliens Extended" only the 1992 Special Edition, these two need to be merged.

Yeah, the extended version is the special edition. It's the same movie. Those of us with the missing 3 mins should be given the extended or both entries should be merged as you said. Doesn't make any sense.

                Re: Alien films D2D problem...

I hate to belabor this point, but currently Vudu is selling this:

                Aliens (Extended) 155 minutes.
                http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...liens-Extended

Here is a screengrab for this title; notice that the graphic for the film says "Special Edition":

This is the SAME film as:

Aliens (Special Edition) which is available via Disc to Digital. However, the last two/three minutes of the film are missing. The film just abruptly stops before the proper ending. The film is listed as 152 minutes long.

For comparison, here is a pic of how the Aliens (Special Edition) looks; notice the length is listed at 152 minutes (three minutes shorter than the film SHOULD be):

The films are the same. The graphic for 'Aliens (Extended)' even says 'Special Edition,' but those who purchased the film via Disc to Digital are missing the last three minutes.

                Vudu should either:

                a) FIX THE ERROR with Aliens (Special Edition) purchased through Disc to Digital.
                b) Replace Aliens (Special Edition) with Aliens (Extended) for those who purchased the former via Disc to Digital.

I would like to hear from the Vudu team concerning this problem.

Edit: Send a PM to mod DanielH if you have this problem. He credited me with Aliens (Extended) which DOES include the ending of the movie and the credits.

I submitted a support ticket this morning about this. We'll see what happens?

                    Re: Alien films D2D problem...

I believe the longer 155 minute version is now being given with D2D. If you have the incorrect version on your account, please contact support or send me a PM with your email address.

Vudu has already corrected it for me by adding the Aliens Extended edition. They forgot to remove the other one (Aliens Special edition) so I called and had them remove it. Great Customer Service as usual with Vudu!

The only thing I noticed today was that "Aliens Extended Edition" is not UV so my UV count went down by one.

I have this issue too. I have the Anthology like most on blu-ray but couldn't get Alien or Aliens in anything but theatrical. I have a ticket out to correct the ones that converted also as SD, but I have this non-DC problem with Troy and Watchmen as well.
