If you are the Master UV account holder you can make your 5 "Member Sign-In Name" accounts whatever you like. Provided it is available.

I am the master account holder. So if the person I want to add all ready has a UV account should I use their account name they already have or make one up still?

You make up your own. You can't reuse a preexisting log-in name. If you try to use the exact name of another UVVU account it will tell you that it's already taken.

You would not create a new account for them. Use the merge feature in account settings to merge them to your account. It is still having some issues but they are applying a patch tomorrow to fix merging issues.

Merging UV accounts is Permanent. I just posted this here - http://forum.vudu.com/showthread.php?t=541791

E55KEV so staying away from the merge option how does the new account that I create get accessed from the person's own current account ? That's what I'm trying to figure out.

Sorry to bump in, but you can't do that without merging. If they already have an account merging is your only option. Otherwise you would have to create a whole new account for them and none of their movies from their old account would be available. I've gone back and forth with UVVU about this trying to do just that and they said the only option is merging.

So in theory they couldn't add into their current account the new username that I just created which would be pulling into their current account the movies from mine?

Nope. Only through merging, so be sure you want them in your account before merging.

So they will be in my account which I'm fine with but does it go both ways? Would I have access to the movies they have in theirs? And will they still have control over their own account ?

Yes. If you merge them their movies will move over with them. If you create a new account for them they won't.

But on the last question, with after doing a merge will they still be able to log into their own original account separately ?
