I tried it on The Amazing Spider-man and I got the Blu-ray 3 days before the release date. I bought The Dark Knight Trilogy Pre-purchase at Wal-mart on Blu-ray and Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were added to my Vudu instantly in HDX. It shows the Dark Knight Rises available in HDX on 12/4. Also when you do the pre-purchase the disc package also comes an UV code so you end up with an extra code.

I think I'm going to do the pre order for this movie. The bad side of this is I've all ready done the D2D for the first 2 movies.

I was thinking with the pre-order code of just giving it away since there will be another code that comes with the actual movie when it shows up.

But to get the movie sent to your home you have to put the code in don't you?

Yep. It takes you to a screen to add your address.

With this set being a trilogy, its a gamble if the code that comes in the movie, if an extra one does, is for just TDKR or all 3 again.

Probably a gamble I'm not going to take.

you could redeem it for someone else and still put in your address.

Good point I think I'll go that route then, but does any one still think that there's going to be another individual code in there for TDKR ?

If the set they sale in the store on release dates has a code you will almost definitely get that same set in the male just with a sticker over the barcode (probably to prevent returns). That's what they have done so far with these promotions. Prometheus and Amazine SpiderMan were both just the retail copies with a sticker of a different bar code over the normal barcode. Sure, walmart could in theory change they way they do this at any time, but financially it would make sense for them just to stick with they way they have been doing it. It's much cheaper for them just to stick a new barcode sticker on the box than to produce a whole new promotional set without a UV code.
