    Ultraviolet Movies on Nook HD

Has anyone been able to watch ultraviolet or vudu movies on a Nook HD?

They show up on my "Movies & TV" shelf with a download from cloud symbol, but there is no option to download or watch them when I click on the movie.

I am connected to my wireless network and I can watch Crackle and Netflix movies on my Nook HD.

I don't have the device but I was browsing the B&N forums, and while UV linking was added on last Nook HD update, playing/downloading UV movies is not yet supported. Like all UV retailer rollouts (like Vudu and CinemaNow), it is going to be be implemented in pieces and bound to be bugs/missing features in the beginning.

Thank you. It would have been nice if the Barnes and Noble digital department customer support person I was chatting with for over and hour this morning could have told me that.

It's true that we cannot directly watch our UV movies yet, but you can downlaod the Flixster app for free and link your UV account through that to watch the movies you have downloaded in the meantime. That's what I have done with my HD+.

I did the same on my HD+ when I was writing a review, but the movie (Hunger Games) looked so bad in SD that I haven't tried any others.

All Flixster are SD. Hopefully there will be some better UV apps coming out soon.

Yes, I know all Flixster vids are SD. Just commenting that they look truly bad on the HD+'s excellent screen so I don't see Flixster as a real alternative for it.

This blog says UV linking is now available.

That's awesome! Still waiting on the apps for Win8 and other platforms though... I don't own a nook, but it's more tempting to buy one!

The linking came on an update a week or so ago. But the update didn't include the ability to play or download UV movies on the Nooks yet. Supposedly the next update might.

Still waiting for an Android app for non-Nook HD owners.
