    Hope Springs UV

I just redeemed Hope Springs on the Sony website but it's not showing in my Vudu account? Has anybody else had this issue. This is first time I've had a movie from Sony not show up? This is the 2nd issue with UV this week on Vudu. What's the problem all of a sudden?

The movie is in my UV account and on the Sony website along with all the other movies I've redeemed in the past but Hope Springs not showing in my Vudu movie list. What a pain in the _ss.

I worked all day and I just want to watch my movie ... UV is starting to suck again like it did in the beginning with movies not showing up.

    Re: Hope Springs UV

I have noticed a delay on UV movies posting to vudu when they were purchased else where it seems to normaly only be a few hours... but if you want it now try unlinking/relinking your UV account to vudu...

*Note... after you unlink wait at least a few mins before you relink

If you get an error that says something like Max connections of this type PM me and I'll send you insturctions on how to correct that (its some what counter intuitive)

Apparently there is a bug on the UV side with "overaggressive" caching that is causing a delay of up to 24 hours before it shows up. I'm sure they are working on it.

And I don't recommend unlinking and relinking your UV account - you can only do this a limited number of times per year, and if you go over that you may have to wait a long time before relinking...

I've been using Vudu to redeem my codes since Hope Springs. They show up immediately. The movies not showing up right away just started happening for me. Mine usually showed up immediately until I tried to redeem Dark Knight Rises on Flixster. Then Hope Springs didn't show up. It eventually did show a few hours later.

I redeemed Sparkle on Vudu ..showed up immediately. I didn't even bother going to the Sony website.

Love Vudu! Thanks and thanks Jake for the warning about unlinking UV accounts.

I saw a note that UV has fixed a "data caching" issue today so hopefully that fix the delay between redeeming on one service and seeing it on another...

What? Wait really? What is the number of times? I was useing linking/unlinking as a method for keeping my libary in alphabetical order.

I have account A that a purchase/redeem or do D2d on and then account B that has no purchases on it so when I unlink there is nothing under "my vudu" and when I relink they are all in order. I then use Account be to watch my movies because since they are in order I can find the one I want to watch... I only do this after I've purchased 5-10 new movies but still...

To date I thought the only issue with this was that it meant I had to limit my purchases to UV only (which is something I try to do anyway)... but you are saying it will cause Account B to become unusable?

I don't think there's a limit. If so I would have passed it a long time ago. I've linked and unlinked my account probably close to 100 times without any ill effect.

                    Re: Hope Springs UV

It should be noted that if account B does become unusable I COULD still use Account A... it has its own UV account that is rarely/never unlinked... but its a mess with no sense of order at all... I currently have only 250 some movies but with another 130-150 titles I still need to do D2D on plus the new titles I purchase or redeem... I can't see any other way to impose order...

The worst that's ever happened was that I got the "too many connections" error which is easily fixed.
